Cresselly U11’s match report (v Narberth) - Received from Cresselly.

On Tuesday evening our young Doves took on their peers from Narberth and came away with a win after a fine display.

Cresselly batted first and through a mixture of stout defence and some lusty blows amassed an excellent total of 333 (losing only one wicket).

Ollie and Arthur put on 23, Archie and Phoenix put on 39, Caden and Ieuan put on 40 (scored 45, but lost a wicket); Cody and Rhys put on 28; Mari, Bobby, Fin, and Walter came in at the end and also all batted really well.

Narberth also batted well, however the bowling  and fielding was excellent throughout, with Cresselly taking 5 wickets during the Narberth innings which ended on 249, meaning a Cresselly win by 84 runs.

What was pleasing, was the fact we only lost one wicket during our 16 ‘scored’ overs. Other notable highlights was Caden Jones’ big 6 (the only one of the match), Rhys White who bowled the only maiden, but in particular the way all of them encouraged each other, with the game played in great spirit throughout.
