Herbie ease home in local-derby clash
Herbrandston (102 for 1) beat St Ishmaels (88 for 3) by 14 runs

All matches between these two neighbouring village sides are hard-fought but on this occasion it was Herbrandston who held the edge as their top three batsmen scored big runs to take them into three figures, before Tish lost the vital early wickets of Welsh International veterans Stuart Carpenter and Huw Scriven and in the final analysis they did well to get so close thanks to some big hitting from club captain Jonathan Pawlett and a third Welsh ‘vet’ in Kevin Bowen, who is in a rich vein of form with the bat.
Charlie Malloy (13 balls), Morgan Britton (19 balls) and Atticus Kingston (only 9 balls, including a four and two sixes) all came and then retired after reaching 25 – and then a brisk 12 not out in six deliveries from Jack Badham saw them into three figures for the loss of Dillon Lewis, neatly stumped by Scriven off Neal Phillips in the final over as only Carpenter and Bowen seemed able to apply the brakes.
When Tish tried to give chase there was a wicket apiece for Kingston, Britton and Lewis as Herbie also fielded well to take the boasting rights until the teams meet again!
Herbrandston Batting: Charlie Malloy 25, Morgan Britton 27*, Atticus Kingston 25*, Jack Badham 12*
St Ishmaels Bowling: Neal Phillips 1-28, Stuart Carpenter (0 for 12), Kevin Bowen (0 for 15)
St Ishmaels Batting: Jonathan Pawlett 29*, Kevin Bowen 26*, Extras 16
Herbrandston bowling: Atticus Kingston 1-17, Martyn Lewis 1-4
Lawrenny too sharp for gritty Seniors
Lawrenny (112 for 3) beat Pembs Seniors B (87 for 2) 25 runs

Lawrenny were comfortable winners of this basement battle as they recorded their second success and left the eager Seniors B to be without a victory but determined to break that duck before the season ends.
Finley Lewis, Noah Williams, Rhys Eynon and especially Will Allen (looking very confident on his two stints at the crease) raised the tempo from recent weeks and their score meant that The Seniors B would have to make a solid start.
Jonathan Twigg again batted steadily for the ‘old timers’ but they lost Martin Thomas and Phil Keen early before Mark Evans contributed his first ‘retirement score’ (which included three fours) – but by then the run rate was too challenging to get anywhere near, despite a brisk 16 from only 9 balls by last man Mike Williams.
Lawrenny Batting: Finley Lewis 22, Will Allen 38*, Noah Williams 11, Rhys Eynon 27*, Extras 10
Pembs Seniors B Bowling: Mark Evans 1-30, Jonathan Twigg 1-11, Rod Murphy 1-22
Pembs Seniors B Batting: Jonathan Twigg 28*, Mark Evans 26*, Mike Williams 16
Lawrenny Bowling: Will Allen 1-10, Taylor Lewis 0-10
Lightning get run out before Neyland B win with ease
Haverfordwest Lightning (61 all out) lost to Neyland B (63 for 3) by three wickets

Neyland B maintained their cracking run of good form as they comfortably accounted for a kamikaze Haverfordwest Lightning batting team that had their first four wickets falling through run outs and so they were dismissed in only 8.3 overs as Neyland B maintained the pressure.
The Lightning had 16 from opener Peter Soulsby before he joined Jason Stobbs, Mudit Jain and Brandon Dewstowe coming and going before Arun Prabhu showed how it should be done with a late unbeaten innings before Sulieman Saf was dismissed from his first ball as Charlie French and Martyn Lewis bowled well, supported by Ashley Watkins.
There was a minor score for Neyland because as well as losing Watkins early they also had Danny Potter run out, his first failure after a string of big scores, but opener Dylan James batted well before Charlie French and Martyn Lewis completed good all-round performances as Neyland eased home with nine balls still in hand.
Haverfordwest Lightning Batting: Peter Soulsby 16, Arun Prabhu 25*
Neyland B Bowling: Charlie French 1-6, Martyn Lewis 1-4
Neyland B Batting: Dylan James 15, Martyn Lewis 21*, Charlie French 13*
Haverfordwest Lightning Bowling: Brandon Dewstowe 1-15, Arun Prabhu 1-7, Mudit Jain 1-8
