Rooks rule the roost against struggling Seniors B
Pembs Seniors B (72 for 5) lost to Carew (73 for 0) by six wickets

Carew took another major step to winning the division two title at the first attempt as they easily accounted for a Seniors B team still seeking their first win and now with nine defeats in a row - but still showing an enjoyment and enthusiasm which belies their ages!
Mike Williams was promoted to open the veterans’ batting and repaid the faith with top score of 22 after Alex Frearson and Mark Evans went early.
Julian Forster managed double figures and Rod Murphy contributed a typically spirited 16 not out
before Mo Asher departed for a duck - and The Seniors had 14 from ‘Mr Extras’ to take the score a little higher, but unlikely to trouble Carew’s powerful batting line-up
For The Rooks, there was a wicket each for Iori Hicks, Noah Davies and Rhys Lewis, as skipper Logan Hall claimed 2 for 18 and Kerry Waters (who is older than most of The Seniors) bowled seven ‘dot balls’ in his 12 deliveries!

Carew openers Noah Davies and Rhys Lewis soon made light work of their target as they belted seven fours onto the back wall and ran well between the wickets - and when they both retired it was left to Hall and keeper Jacob Knox to hit off the remaining few runs to take their team to their eighth win in nine starts.
Seniors A Batting: Mike Williams 22, Julian Forster 10, Rod Murphy 16*
Carew Bowling: Iori Hicks 1-11, Logan Hall 2-18, Noah Davies 1-11, Rhys Lewis 1-21, Kerry Waters 0-8
Carew batting: Noah Davies 25*, Rhys Lewis 26*
Seniors B Bowling: Mike Williams o-15, Mark Evans 0-9
Lightning strike to stay third
Haverfordwest Lightning (97 for 4) beat St Ishmaels (73 all out) by 24 runs

Haverfordwest Lightning were comfortable winners over St Ishmaels and their sixth win in ten matches pushed them above their opponents and into third place in the table.
Johnny White departed early for The Town but Doug Johnson and Shan Perreira showed what good indoor cricketers they are as both remained not out in their ten-over innings, Doug blasting 34 not out which included two fours and two sixes in the 22 balls he faced.
Shan also hit two fours in his equally speedy 27 (12 balls) and two other Withybush workers in Suliman Safi and Mudit Jain scored 14 and 13 respectively in quick time before they were run out in the inevitable late chase for runs - and last man Peter Soulsby lasted just one ball.

Phil Llewellyn and Jonathon Pawlett bowled quite well for Tish and Kevin Bowen claimed 2 for 29 as their only wicket-taker.
St Ishmaels suffered early blows as quality batsmen Pawlett and Lewis Rhead departed cheaply before Llewelyn and Bowen steadied the ship until the latter departed for 12, quickly followed by tail-enders Lenny Rees and Neil Phillips, leaving Llewellyn on 29 not out when he retired but was run out first ball when he returned to the crease!
Soulsby, Johnny White, Johnson and Safi claimed a wicket apiece for The Lightning and Tish were dismissed with three balls left - but are still in with a chance of second spot as they stand six points behind their opponents with two games each still to play.
Lightning Batting: Doug Johnson 34*, Shan Perreira 27, Suliman Safi 14, Mudit Jain 13
St Ishmaels Bowling: Kevin Bowen 2-29, Phil Llewellyn 0-14
St Ishmaels Batting: Phil Llewellyn 29, Kevin Bowen 12
Lightning Bowling: Peter Soulsby 1-14, Johnny White 1-24, Doug Johnson 1-5, Suliman Safi 1-8
