The EFSA European Boat and Light Line Championships were fished out of Weymouth, with Tina Lustig (Lamphey) and John O’Connor (Llanycefn), as Pembrokeshire representatives in the Welsh team.
 
Both fished well and Tina fended off the strong challenge of lady anglers from nine other countries and in the light-line competition Tina not only won on her boat but claimed the overall ladies competition to finish as the 2014 European Light Line Ladies Champion
 
So, Wales and Pembrokeshire can be proud of another European Champion: well done Tina.
 
Not content with that success, Tina and John together with their two English compatriots making up their team, Ray Ashby and Neil Cottington, finished runners up in the four-person open team event.
 
So, a great week of angling finished up at the gala dinner with Welsh anglers on the podium once again, the star being Tina, our current European Light line Ladies Champion.
 
For this successful week we must thank the English section and their team of organisers for putting on a superb event fished in a very sporting manner with great camaraderie between all the anglers: it was brilliant!
