Tenby Ladies AFC were the only Pembrokeshire representatives in the West Wales Women’s and Girls’ Football Tournament held recently at the Play Football Centre in Swansea.

The team was reformed especially for the competition and consisted of ‘old’ and new players.
 
The competition was tough and Tenby lost their first three games, including the one against Welsh Premier side Newcastle Emlyn.
 
However, the team gelled as the matches went on and they beat Ammanford 2-0 and in their final match they drew 1-1 with Cardiff City.
 
So the Tenby Ladies’ team finished on a high note as they won the ‘Ladies Fair Play’ Award by the organisers.
