Pembrokeshire’s leisure centres are once again supporting the annual ‘Swimathon’ this spring, organised by Marie Curie.
‘Swimathon’ is a national swimming challenge taking place across the UK over the weekend of 29-31 March, with distances to suit all abilities.
Participants can choose whether to swim 400m, 1.5k, 2.5k, and 5k or triple 5k as an individual, or 1.5k or 5k as part of a team.
Staff delighted to help
Staff at Pembrokeshire Leisure’s swimming pools at Crymych, Fishguard Haverfordwest, Milford Haven, Pembroke and Tenby will be on hand to advise or help anyone taking part in the challenge.
“We’re delighted to back the Swimathon once again, and encourage swimmers of all abilities to participate in this very worthwhile event,” said Gary Nicholas, the Leisure Services Manager at Pembrokeshire County Council.
