Merlins Bridge beat Goodwick United in match of the day

Picture by Susan McKehonThe big game of the day was at the Racecourse where Merlins Bridge came from behind to beat arch rivals Goodwick United 3-2. Jonny Horgan and Jordan Griffiths grabbed goals for the Phoenix Boys, but the Wizards secured the vital points with a brace from Joe Leahy and a solitary strike from Dai Davies.

Fishguard Sports hammered St Clears 10-1 at Tregroes. Finding the back of the net for the rampant Sports were Steve Lewis (3), Niall Kinsella (2), Matt Harries (2), and Danny Hopkins (2) and Karl Hedley. Full credit to the well beaten Saints Jamie Thomas scored their only goal on a very difficult afternoon.

Goals from Ashley Bevan, Camron Thomas and the returning Nicky Woodrow helped Hakin United to a comfortable 3-0 victory against Clarbeston Road at the Obs.

Narberth were trounced 0-7 against the champions Monkton Swifts who bounced back to emphatic winning ways. Ben Steele (2), Dylan Davies (2), debutant Jordan Richards (2) and Martyn Carroll hit the target for the impressive Swifts.

Josh Clark and Craig Asparassa scored to ensure Pennar Robins narrowly beat Neyland 2-1 at Bush Camp. Jason Griffiths scored a late consolation for the Nomads.

Rock bottom Saundersfoot Sports narrowly lost 2-3 at home against close neighbours Carew. Paul Hodge and Euan Laidlaw netted for the Sports, but the visitors pinched the points with a brace from Shaun Whitfield and a well-taken goal scored by team-mate Adam Muskett.
