Haverfordwest County have completed the massive signing of Lee Trundle this week.

This is a huge coup for the ambitious Bluebirds’ club, ‘magic daps’ as he is commonly known and also fondly remembered by fans, when he regularly banged in goals for Swansea City at the Vetch Field and the Liberty Stadium.

The 41 year old starred for Llanelli Town for the past two seasons, helping The Reds to successive promotions, and in the process he struck incredible 80-odd goals.

The club have released a statement: “Haverfordwest County AFC is delighted to announce that the former Swansea City striker Lee Trundle will play his football at the Conygar Bridge Meadow next season.

“Lee needs no introduction and his illustrious professional career with Wrexham, Seansea City, Bristol City and Leeds United and more recently with Llanelli Town in the Welsh League, demonstrates our commitment as a football club that we wish to play at the highest level within the Welsh Football pyramid.

“As well as the attraction of signing a player of exceptional goal scoring ability, Lee will bring experience from which many of the talented local youngsters will greatly benefit.

“We welcome Lee to our club and look forward to him and the rest of our squad pushing for honours next season.”
