Neilson Cole

Neilson Cole

33 - Teacher

Neilson has played in five previous finals, with this his second as captain, so he will be eager to raise The Bowl aloft on his home patch. He is certainly one of the top three wicketkeepers in the county and a useful stroke-maker down the order when he gets the chance to show his skills – and certainly showed his leadership skills in that nail-biter of a semi-final!
Ryan Lewis

Ryan Lewis

40 - Civil Engineer

Now putting his wealth of experience into being vice-captain, Ryan led the side in their terrific village cup run. He is a vital cog, as he proved with figures of 4 for 21, 3 for 36 and 3 for 27 in the previous rounds and has three other three-wicket hauls in league games. Not only that, Ryan still has that innate ability to smash sixes and can swing a game around in a few overs.

Adam Chandler

Adam Chandler

35 - Architect

Adam is a superb run maker over a long period of time and again proved his worth with knocks of 50, 26 and 55 in previous rounds, as well as 118 against old rivals Carew and 52 against Whitland as two of his scores in the league. A more than useful outfielder there is no doubt that Adam is a key man in Cresselly’s battle plans because of his quality batting ability!

Alex Bailey

Alex Bailey

23 - Warehouse Manager

Alex has earned his reputation as a potent hitter of a cricket ball and thrived on the responsibility of opening the innings in limited over matches over recent times. He smashed 72 not out against Llanrhian and 33 versus Haverfordwest in previous rounds alongside some other good innings in league cricket and is no longer regarded as a pinch hitter but a quality batsman!

Iwan Izzard

Iwan Izzard

23 - Self Employed

Missed out last season because of family commitments but raring to go for this big day and with that priceless ability of being able to reduce bowlers to nervous wrecks. Yet to make a huge impact in this year’s Bowl but Iwan has grown into his place in the top three of the batting with two superb centuries, 91 and other big knocks in league matches – so if he comes off, look out!

Simon Cole

Simon Cole

38 - Policeman

‘Snowy’ is still one of the most capable all-round cricketers in the county and innings of 60, 60 not out and 54 not out show his continued worth to the team. He has the added bonus of being able to tie opposing batsmen down with his canny slow stuff and has best figures this season so far of 4 for 6 – and is able to put his experience as a former captain to good effect when required.

Phil Williams

Phil Williams

36 - Teacher

‘Taffy’ is one of the more popular cricketers in the county and another former club captain who opened the batting for many years and regularly featured in the ‘Most Runs’ race in the top echelon each season. He has now adapted to life in the middle order, where he is more than capable of scoring vital runs at key times, where top scores of the season include 80 not out, 46 and 67 not out.

Dan James

Dan James

Outdoor Pursuits Organiser

Dan joined Cresselly at the start of the season and has certainly made an impact from the outset with bat and ball, none more so than in the semi-final, where he led the bowling with a 4 for 54 haul and then struck a terrific 32 not out against Haverfordwest. He also hit 60 not out against Narberth in an earlier round and also picked up for 30 and 3 for 67 in league games.

Mike Shaw

Mike Shaw

25 - Dentist

‘Flossy’ is another all-rounder who loves hitting big shots and keeping the scoreboard ticking over, whilst also bowling his shift of off-spin as an added bonus. He picked up 1 for 28 in a tight semi-final spell and if he gets the chance will look forward to sending a few big hits over the clubhouse roof with his ability to hit long and straight!

Sam Harts

Sam Harts

25 - Valet Depot Co-Ordinator

Sam became the semi-final hero as he bowled the tense ‘Golden Over’ to deny Haverfordwest and earn his team their second successive Bowl Final as a result. A natural extrovert who loves to be fully involved in all his team does he can always be relied upon to give 100%. Has fine figures of 4 for 38, 4 for 41 and 3 for 31 this campaign – and relishes the chance to show he can also bat a bit too!

 Neil Gregory

Neil Gregory

Shipping Agent

One of the genuine left-armers in the squad, Neil has brought another edge to the pace attack with his deceptive pace and accuracy which always makes him difficult to score heavily against. Neil has best figures of 4 for 34, 3 for 30, 4 for 19 and 4 for 45, as proof of his worth to the side, and will relish the chance to add to his tally in the final!

Tom Arthur

Tom Arthur

22 - Frozen Food Worker

Tom has always been a terrific club man, as well as a useful fast bowler and is no mug with the bat either so if he is required for the big day he will be sure to play his heart out as usual and battle for the club his family are synonymous with.

Dan Cherry

Dan Cherry

37 - Stadium Manager

Dan would walk into any team in the county but his work at the Swalec Stadium limits the regularity of his appearances – but he has still found time to produce innings of 79 and 48 not out in league games, plus a 4 for 25 analysis in another match. There will inevitably be interest centred on whether he will play in the final – but we believe he would grace it as one of the best, but most likeable, cricketers ever to come out of the county!

 Bobby Webb

Bobby Webb

26 - Cocktail Barman

Bobby has given 100%  for Cresselly and is a more than useful right arm fast bowler and solid batsman who can be relied upon to play his part.  He is also a very adept fielder and if included would be eager to show off his all-round skills.
Matthew Webb

Matthew Webb

25 - Head Chef, Plumtree Restaurant, Tavernspite

Matthew has served Cresselly really well like his brother but his work commitments inevitable limit his appearances. Like his brother, he is a more than useful bowler and batsman who will serve the club well if called into the squad.
