Nearly a thousand primary school pupils in the Tenby area have been given the chance to try golf this summer.

The opportunity is thanks to a partnership between Sport Pembrokeshire and Oliver Duckett, Head Pro at Trefloyne Manor Golf Club, with financial help from Golf Development Wales.

Sessions took place on school sites and at Trefloyne Golf Club, with its new driving range and practice facilities. Oliver has also provided sessions for pupils at the Autistic Unit at Pembroke School.

The programme was organised by Sport Pembrokeshire, Pembrokeshire County Council’s sports development service.
“We’re very pleased that so many children in this area have had a chance to get into golf,” said Alan Jones, Golf Development Officer for Sport Pembrokeshire.

“Our thanks go to Trefloyne Golf Club and Golf Development Wales for their support.”
