Goodwick skipper Scott Delaney receives the silverware from Ceri Morgan of the Pembrokeshire League CouncilA superb hat-trick by Will Haworth sealed a convincing victory that secured the title for the second year on the trot for impressive Goodwick United against Milford United at Phoenix Park on Tuesday evening.
 
The champions elect led 3-0 at half time and followed up with two further goals in the second period as the Robins scored a consolation Liam Parr penalty.
 
Goodwick have won the title at a canter and incredibly still have five games in hand as skipper Scott Delaney was presented with the Division One silverware by Manderwood Pembrokeshire Football League Council official Ceri Morgan at the post-match presentation.
 
Goodwick manager Chris O’Sullivan’s still continues to set challenges for his team have won the league as he has set them a further goal to try and stay unbeaten for the remainder of the season.

Goal scorer Haworth turned provider as he laid on a well waited pass to Ben Adams who struck his low shot in the far corner which gave his side a three goal cushion at the interval.
 
Impressive Luke Hayward assisted for two goals for champions GoodwickThree minutes after the break Goodwick added a fourth as Luke Hayward’s pinpoint corner fell inviting for Haworth who nodded home from close range.
 
In the 72nd minute the visitors were awarded a penalty by referee Sean O’Connor, up stepped Liam Parr who confidently beat Marsh from 12 yards.
 
The champions had the final say as midfielder Hayward with his second assist of the night, flighted a free kick which Haworth buried at the far post to complete the scoring and start the wild celebrations of retaining the title.
 
“O’Sullivan said shortly after the final whistle: “I thought the boys were superb tonight, they were really hungry tonight they kept winning the ball back, they were relentless for the whole 90 minutes. They have worked hard all season and still have the desire to win more trophies.”

Pennar Robins came from behind to secure a hard fought draw against Merlins Bridge at Bush Camp.
 
The visitors took the lead in the seventh minute as skipper Jordan Thomas was set-up by Joe Leahy, straight from the kick off Pennar equalised as Phil Thompson played in Ceri Griffiths.
 
Incredibly there were no further goals despite both sides trying to score what was to be an elusive winner.
