Pembrokeshire County Schools’ Under 11’s Football Squad held their end of season presentation at Heatherton, where the boys had great fun on the activities before enjoying  a meal of sausage and chips - and then it was on to the presentation.

County coach, Angie Nicholls, thanked the players and parents for their support over the season which had started off very promisingly. The squad narrowly missed out reaching the Welsh Schools’ Finals and had played some very exciting matches throughout the campaign.

She also thanked fellow coaches Vince Malone and Bernard Steer (GK coach) for their dedication and support.

Each squad member was presented with a County Schools Boot Bag from former Pembrokeshire Schools’ players Spencer Williams and Daniel Evans.  Both boys played in the Welsh Colleges side this season and Daniel also played for Welsh Schools Under 18’s side - and they brought their caps to show the players.

The boys explained to the youngsters that with hard work and determination and practice, they could fulfil their potential to play at the highest level and that Pembrokeshire has a wealth of talented footballers.

Several of the boys are still able to play in the squad next season and many others have already been selected at the recent trials for the Haverfordwest Academy Under 12’s Squad.

Pembrokeshire Schools FA would like to thank Charles Davies of Heatherton for his continued support.
If anyone is interested in sponsoring the squad next season please get in touch with Angie Nicholls on 07760474502.
