Bluebirds suffer disappointing defeat at Briton Ferry

Haverfrordwest County slipped to an extremely disappointing defeat at the hands of
Briton Ferry Llansawel.
Bluebirds manager Wayne Jones confessed after the game, “This was the worse we have played all season, no complaints with the final result, but it’s a bitter pill to swallow.”
Missed penalty
The visitors could have taken the lead in the 24
th minute when they were awarded a penalty, but Luke Borelli struck his effort from 12 yards straight at the keeper.
Goals conceded
Ten minutes later the homesters took the lead, striker Gavin Jones struck a low shot from the edge of the box that comfortably beat goalkeeper Craig Morris.
Midfielder Kieron Howard struck the crossbar for the Bluebirds with a wicked right-footed shot, and he count himself rather unlucky that he never levelled matters.
Steve Daley secured the points for Briton Ferry Llansawel when he made no mistake on the hour mark from inside the box, and there was no way back for the promotion-seeking Bluebirds.
Next Saturday, 28
th March Haverfordwest County are away at Aberdare Town, and on Wednesday, 1
st April the Bluebirds are home against Monmouth Town.
