PembrokeshireSport.co.uk is delighted to announce that it has won the ‘Best Social Media Site’ in the third annual All Wales Sport’s awards, which were recently held at The Atlantic Hotel in Porthcawl.
 
Presenting the award to Bill Carne was Chris Smart, a director of All Wales Sport, who also owns Mid Glamorgan Press Agency, and told the audience,
“There are a lot of sports media sites in Wales but none deals with one specific area in more depth than PembrokeshireSport.co.uk does in its own county, with news, views, articles, photographs and results."
 

'PembrokeshireSport.co.uk' wins top sporting award

Echoing that view was Ellis Davies, a co-founder of West Wales Sport with Ian Davies, and another director of All Wales Sport, which provides the widest possible results service across Wales and whose result details and league tables are used by national newspapers and by the Welsh Rugby Union, amongst others.
 
Other winners on the evening included the Cardiff Devils Ice Hockey Team (winners of several top competitions in the UK), RGC 1404 (best Principality Premiership team)), Llandudno Cricket Club (eight-times Welsh Cup champions in 12 years) and Llanelli Football Club (best  football team, who had former Swansea ‘legend’ Lee Trundle receiving the event.
 
Bill Carne said afterwards,
“It was a great honour to be nominated and chosen for our award which reflects hugely on the support given by volunteer reporters, club correspondents and especially some amazing photographers who help us on site and our very busy Face Book page.
 
“PembrokeshireSport.co.uk is also lucky to have such a terrific rapport with most sports clubs in our area and we certainly couldn’t keep up with all the sport that we cover without that help and cheerful co-operation, which makes Pembrokeshire the best sporting county in Wales!”
