Division One:

Hook 156 for 2 (19) beat Pembroke 67 for 9 (4) by 89 runs

Ellin Miller - 25 not out for HookHook made the journey to Treleet and opted to bat first after winning the toss – and their decision was vindicated as experienced batters Katie Farr and Jemma Phillips got them off to a good start which was maintained by excellent batting from Ellin Miller.

Pembroke deserve credit for the way that bowled and fielded as Summer Russant and Bobby Neale were the pick of their bowlers – and Bobby maintained her good form with the bat in another undefeated knock.
But again, experience took its toll as Hook bowlers  Ellin, Tia Rees and Beth Chapman bowled miserly spells – but it is good to report that club stalwart Luke Butler, who took on the role of umpire, told us the Pembroke Ladies team is improving their skill levels in every game!

Katie Griffiths - 25 not out for Pembroke DockLani Hogben - 25 not out for WhitlandPembroke Dock completed their fifth win from six starts as they comfortable beat title rivals Whitland where they batted really well and maintained control in the field to ease through to widen the gap at the top of the table.

After losing the toss and being asked to bat first it was again Katie Griffiths, Cheryl Hughes and Katie Gibbins who took them to a big total as all three remained undefeated with the bat, despite some useful bowling by Tegan Ryan and especially Amy Morgan, who also caught the eye with the bat alongside top batter Lani Hogben.

But Cheryl and Katie Gibbins also led with the ball, supported by some tight fielding, to earn The Dock victory.

Saundersfoot 108 for 3 (17) beat Kilgetty 90 for 5 (5) by 18 runs

The match between neighbours Saundersfoot and Kilgetty was a close-run thing before Saundersfoot celebrated victory at Kingsmoor after winning the toss and batting first, with Hannah Mackie and Kate Joseph both retiring after reaching the required total, despite the bowling efforts of Layla Lewis and Lowis Hughes. Madi Neye and Hannah led the Seasiders bowling attack when Kilgetty went in to bat and good batting from Chloe Bland and Beth Marsh kept them in the hunt but they ran out of overs and it was Saundersfoot who stayed in third place in the table and Kilgetty still seek a first win as they gain in confidence with every fixture.

Saundersfoot Batting: Hannah Mackie 25, Kate Joseph 25no
Kilgetty Bowling: Layla Lewis 1-7, Lowis Hughes 1-19
Kilgetty Batting: Chloe Bland 26no, Beth Marsh 11no

Carew 95 for 4 (4) lost to St Ishmaels 97 for 1 (16) by 9 wickets

St Ishmaels are another team growing in confidence, as they proved when they entertained Carew and won by nine wickets for a third win in five starts.

Jess Griffiths and Kirsten Jordan led the visitors’ batting but Tish bowled and fielded with good discipline, led by Nia Simes, to give themselves a total that was within their range to chase.

And although Gwen Davies bowled well for Carew there was no stopping Tish as Jo Bradshaw again led their batting in style before retiring, and Linzi Picto also had her wicket intact at the end as she and  Tracy Chandra were the other top scorers for delighted home coach Johnny ‘Bap’ Lewis.
