14 year old Luke wins County Golf Championship
Luke Harries, of Tenby Golf Club, has become what is believed to be the youngest-ever winner of the Dyfed Men’s County Championship title, which was recently played over 36 holes at Tenby Golf Club.

With temperatures soaring high, Luke finished with two solid rounds of 76, tying for the lead with another Tenby member, Richard Morton.
The outright winner was decided in a thrilling sudden death play-off where both players birdied the par 5 first, but came to an end on the third extra hole after Luke held his nerve to sink a 12ft birdie putt, to claim the title.
This is a tremendous achievement for Luke, a 3.7 handicapper, who is also a member of the GUW Academy squad.
Not to be outdone in the silverware stakes, Luke's 17 year old brother, Jack, took the overall nett prize on the day shooting 75, 78, and reducing his handicap to 4.
Both boys are keen sportsmen and play senior cricket alongside their father Spencer for Pembroke CC.
