There were six games completed in the Manderwood Pembrokeshire Football League First Division, with plenty of twists and turns regarding the race for the title.

Third in the table Carew drew 3-3 with fifth placed Hakin United in an end to end tussle. The Vikings’ goal scorers were Nicky Woodrow, Justin Harding and Camron Thomas, but the Rooks sealed appoint thanks to a brace from Sam Christopher and a solitary effort by Scott Ferney.

Bottom of the table Herbrandston were hammered 2-9 at home against eighth placed Pennar Robins. The visitors’ goals were shared by Ben Adams 4, Josh Dearsley 2, Danno Kitts and an own goal. In reply, the ever-reliable Scott Reid and an own goal was all that poor Herbie could muster.

Fourth placed Merlins Bridge won 2-0 against second placed Goodwick United at a rain and windswept Racecourse. The Wizards’ hero was Laurie Haworth who scored twice in the second half to seal three precious points.

Ninth placed Narberth lost 1-3 at home against league leaders Monkton Swifts. With results going the Swifts’ way they’ve gone four points clear at the summit. Jordan Williams netted the Bluebirds’ only goal, whilst James Russell, Chris Richards and Ryan Griffiths netted for the high-flying Swifts.

Tenth placed Neyland were convincingly beaten 0-4 at home against sixth placed St Clears. Will Evans 2, Sean Seymour-Davies and Steve Thomas netted for the Saints.

Eleventh in the table Saundersfoot Sports drew 3-3 at home against seventh placed Clarbeston Road. Curtis Hurlow 2, Euan Laidlaw were on target for the Sports, but Jason Griffiths scored a brilliant hat-trick to ensure his side nicked a point.
