High fives from Bluebirds at Goodwick
Pre-season friendly
Goodwick United 0 - Haverfordwest County 5

Haverfordwest County proved too strong for Goodwick United at Phoenix Park (tonight) Friday night.
The Welsh League Division One outfit deservedly led 2-0 at half time against the Pembrokeshire League First Division side, and scored a further three goals to gain an emphatic victory.
The goals were shared between an own goal, the outstanding Ritchie Lewis, Dylan Blain, Chris O’Sullivan and Joe Leahy.
Fortuitous goal
The visitors took the lead in the 2
nd minute with a fortuitous goal. Former Goodwick player Chris O’Sullivan whipped in a direct free-kick in the box that cannoned off the crossbar and the ball struck Kieran O’Brien on his back and found its way into the back of the net for an own goal.
The visitors had to wait until five minutes before half time when they doubled their lead as left sided midfielder Ritchie Lewis hit a low direct free-kick that comfortably beat David Lawrence, after Steff Williams had been fouled.
25-yard screamer

Shortly after the interval and Blain struck the third goal with a fiercely struck volley, O’Sullivan added a fourth after 58 minutes with a 25-yard screamer and striker Leahy completed the scoring with a deft chip over the advancing keeper.
Chris Curtis made his debut in goal for the visitors and will feel happy that he kept a clean sheet as he marshalled his troops well at the back.
Goodwick United never gave up trying and their league campaign starts on Tuesday, 30
th August when they entertain St Ishmaels at Phoenix Park, where kick off is at 6pm.
Haverfordwest County have one more pre-season friendly scheduled for Saturday, 17
