Mathew "Titch" Davies
32 - Accountant
Captain
'Titch’ has returned to cricket this year following a knee operation which kept him out of the game for the last two seasons. He has reassumed skipper’s duties, successfully leading the team to their second Bowl final for the second time as a key all-rounder. Titch will play a key role in the final this year as a lively character both on and off the field, who will marshal the troops into clever fielding formations. He has promised to try and take a catch and, if successful, to not drop the Bowl during the presentation this year!

Dylan Blain
32 - University Lecturer
A Welsh football cap at under 19 level and Welsh Premier League regular, Dylan will rank his first Harrison Allen final alongside his appearance in the UEFA Cup some years ago. A very capable opening batsman who plays with plenty of flair, Dylan is also an astute wicket-keeper.

 |
Kevin Pearce
34 - Plumber
After missing out on the previous final, Kevin is raring to go for the occasion. A useful back-row forward for Laugharne in his time, Kevin is very capable of scoring big runs and doubles as a great catcher in the deep, taking a key catch in the semi-final.

 |
Jonathan Thomas
24 - Primary School Teacher
Arguably one of the most naturally gifted batsmen in the County, ‘JT’ or ‘Jay’ has the ability to score big runs in effortless fashion. Featuring in his second final, his century in the semi-final was crucial and his canny off-spin is enough to trouble anybody. He is certainly a key member of the side and a very good rugby player with Whitland as another string to his bow.

 |
Paul Davies
34 - Manger at the Friday Ad
The ‘Mr Consistent’ of Whitland CC batting for many a year, Paul has adapted his game well over the last few seasons to the shorter format of the Bowl. A technically gifted player, Paul hit the ball cleanly and can be a dangerous batsman once settled at the crease. He is an established fielder at point, plucking numerous extraordinary catches out of the air in spectacular fashion. His second final, Paul will continue his anchor role as seen by his half century in the semi-final.

 |
Iestyn Scourfield
24 - Solicitor
Always one to give 100%, Iestyn will hope to play a big role in this year’s final as vice-captain. An emotional character who wears his heart on his sleeve he is sure to be vocal presence on the field and is in arguably the form of his life with the bat. His fielding in the deep is valuable to the side, as evidenced by two great catches in the semi-final.
|
 |
Leighton O'Connor
57 - Retired Chartered Surveyor
A Welsh international for Wales over 50s, Leighton is as sharp in the field as anybody else in the side. Having had a distinguished rugby career for teams such as Wales B, Maesteg RFC and Newport RFC, Leighton is a competitive sportsman and backs it up with his sharp medium pacers and has an array of shots. Capable of destructive bowling and batting, Leighton is extremely excited about his first final.

 |
Scott Newton
23 - Accountant
Having been 12th man for the previous final, Scott will be relishing the opportunity to get at the opposition with the bat this time around. A fine striker of the ball, Scott can score runs quickly, as showed this season against Carew. He is a fine fielder who is reliable under the high ball, no doubt helped by him playing rugby at full back for many years.
|
 |
Mark Lee
42 - Builder
Playing in his second final, Mark brings a wealth of experience to the team with his knowledge of the game as a loyal servant of Whitland Cricket Club for so many years. His medium stuff has always taken wickets in Pembrokeshire and he could be the usual key figure with the ball once more. He is also a capable batsman who would relish some time at the crease in the final – and the undoubted joker of the side.

 |
Wayne Howells
44 - Jewson’s Assistant Branch Manager
Having made the ‘unforgivable’ move over to Whitland CC from neighbours Narberth, Wayne has settled into the first team well and become an integral part of the bowling attack. Taking the key wicket in the semi-final as part of a superb 4 for 21 haul, Wayne uses his experience against the opposition which will no doubt be of great value to his new teammates in his first Bowl final.
|
 |
Gregg Sleep
38 - Electricians Assistant
‘Sleepo’ or ‘Greggo’ is new to the area having previously plied his trade with Luckett CC in South East Cornwall. Having adopted his new teammates’ sense of humour, Greg has settled in well and is now a key slow bowler in the first team after being given his chance by the Vice-Captain earlier this season. He is also capable with the bat, preferring to take the outfield out of the equation most of time with his big hitting exploits.
|
 |
Nico Setaro
22 - Activities Co-ordinator at Morfa Bay
12th Man
As one of the sharpest fielders in the club, Nico will provide ample cover either in close to the wicket or in the deep should he be required on the day. A talented outside half now playing his rugby for Narberth AFC, Nico has a great set of hands and will catch most of anything that comes his way.

 |
David Lee
??? - Armed Response Police Officer
Coach
A great servant to the club as an all-rounder over many year and having cut his teeth as a coach for many Ormond Youth finalists over the years, Dai has been asked to impart his wisdom upon the players for this year’s final. A previous winner himself, his experience of the big occasion and his overall calmness will provide good reassurance to the playing squad throughout the day.
|
 |
Wayne Jones
??? - Police Officer
Coach
Wayne is captain of the 2nd XI and another member of our local constabulary. A fine batsman, Wayne is renowned at the club for his inspiring text messages and his general will to win. Another ex-rugby player, Wayne’s experience will most certainly aid the players with the challenge of the final as he will pop up with some positive reinforcement throughout the day.
