Hakin win again and Narberth knock Senior Cup holders out in own backyard

There were five games played in the Manderwood Pembrokeshire Football League First Division on Saturday.
St Clears lost
1-3 at home against champions Hakin United; the Vikings are nine points clear at the top of the table with seven games of the season to go. Gareth Fawcett, James Stanmore and Justin Harding scored for the Vikings, whilst Ian Derbyshire replied for the Saints.
Angle’s god form continued with an emphatic
4-1 win at home against Johnston. Gareth Fisher, Lee Duignan, Ben Adams and Craig Brockway netted for the homesters and Andrew Murray scored the Tigers’ solitary goal.
Herbrandston narrowly won
3-2 against bottom outfit Saundersfoot Sports. Marc Gelona scored twice from the spot alongside a Darren Devonald header for Herbie, Paul Hodge and Adam Davidson netted for the luckless Sports.
Merlins Bridge lost
0-1 against Neyland at the Racecourse. Nathan Warlow scored a late winner for the delighted Nomads who have moved up to second in the table.
Monkton Swifts drew
2-2 at home against close neighbours Pennar Robins. Mike Powell and Phil Thompson gave the Robins a two-goal lead at half time, but the Swifts struck back with goals by Ben Nicholas and Matthew Davies to salvage a point.
There were two Senior Cup quarter finals played. Starting at Division Two Prendergast Villa who bowed out after losing
0-4 against Division One Goodwick United at home, Rob Morgans and Lewis Banks grabbed two goals apiece to secure a place in the last four.
Holders Tenby lost
4-2 on penalties against Narberth at home. The score read
2-2 after full and extra time. Daryl Mansbridge and Jack Christopher netted for the Seasiders, but Callum ’Connell and Dorian Davies scored to force the tie into extra time and then penalties that the visitors held their nerve to reach the semis alongside Angle and Goodwick United.
