Elements Gymnastics Academy tumbles to gold
EGA’s first competition took place recently at the Welsh Preliminary Championships held in Sophia Gardens at Cardiff, with Daisy Howells, Seren Rees, Molly Rossiter, Freya Brooks, Megan Cole, Talia Jones, Emily Jones, Lowri Rogers, Bethan Midgeley, Ioan Hughes, and Sadie Jones all performing their elements beautifully setting a high standard to other competitors.
The coaches were overwhelmed with the gymnasts’ tumbles and proud to see them working as a team with beaming smiles. A huge well done to Daisy Howells for achieving an overall silver medal with second place out of 180 gymnasts and the team came fourth and just missed out on a bronze medal by one mark, Well done all.
Ega’s fab four wins gold
At the City of Swansea Gymnastics Centre there was a 5,6,7s Tumble & Vault competition where the competition had lots of entries from clubs all over the South West Area, including 14 gymnasts from EGA who put on a fantastic show for their first ever competition.
The results were as follows, 5 Years old, Hazel Lister 3rd Vault & 11th tumble, 6th overall. Eliza Gough 6th Vault & 7th tumble, 3rd overall. Kari Rogers 10th Vault & 4th Tumble, 5th overall. Jessica Shiels 9th Vault & 11th Tumble,8th overall. These fantastic scores totalled up to the team taking the gold medal, which is the club’s first Gold medal achieved by our youngest future stars.
Talented youngsters gain experience
Harry Peniket had just missed out on a bronze by coming 4th place on his tumble whilst his team buddies George Brown and Cody Powell made a strong team of three by coming 7th place overall.
6 years old, Ruby Lewis, Emma Powell, Kimberley Goodwin, Jessica Goode,Alexi Young team came 8th overall.
7 Years old, Amelie Kessels & Keira Brown both competed as individuals to their ability.
Ioan Hughes takes gold home to EGA
The Novice Agility Championships competition held in Sophia Garden, Cardiff recently saw EGA’s ten gymnasts performing three different tumbles with a mixture of elements. The competition was tough but the gymnasts still managed to brightly shine.
Ioan Hughes competed in level one and is the second gymnast to take Gold whilst Scarlet Morris performed with near-perfection and took 2nd place in advanced level three. Also Daisy Howells, Caitlyn Morris, Freya Brooks, Seren Rees, Lowri Rogers, Megan Cole, Molly Rossiter and Molly Gabriel all performed fantastically. Well done all.

EGA would like to announce that Gethin Rees is currently training for the Tenby Half Marathon held on the 14th July in aid of our club, so we would be grateful for any donations to say thank you for all his hard work and efforts in helping to improve the club for all members. Club members will be there to cheer him on.
We would like to congratulate Casey Edge for passing her sports leaders’ course with flying colours. Well done Casey, and also good luck to Jo Morris, who is currently training to become a qualified level one woman’s artistic coach.
