Friday Night Floodlit Rugby - 13th March 2026
Feature Match:
Division Four (West) A:
Seasiders win but denied bonus point by gritty Wasps
Tenby United Athletic 17 - Llangwm 0

Llangwm became the first Pembrokeshire team to complete their league programme as they played in this floodlit Friday fixture at Heywood Lane against a Tenby United Athletic team which fielded a mixture of experienced old-timers like Jack Gooding, Nicky Guymer, Rob Clark and Rob Luly. alongside four of their current youth squad, who showed they can cope at this level and gained valuable experience which will serve them well in the future.
The Seasiders started with a bang as their opening kick-off into The Wasps’ 22 was charged down by hooker Iwan Duffy, who maintained his balance well and plough over the line for an unconverted try.
Llangwm responded with a series of charges from their pack, with their unsung front -row heroes of Joe Newton, Phil Llewellyn and Callum Jenkins always involved alongside James Wade and the outstanding Ryan Banner.
Aaron James, again playing on permit from The Quins, Jack Roberts and Haydn Rees always posed a threat amongst their backs division, well controlled by Breig Matthews, but it was The Seasiders Seconds who increased their lead from a series of phrases before Connor Kier crossed the whitewash for a try converted by Harry Rossiter, who worked well at half back with Fletcher Broadhurst.
Then just before the interval came the Athletic’s third try when prop James Morgan, who has helped out The Wasps a number of times in the past, scored an unconverted try.
At the interval it seemed as if a bonus point was inevitable for The Athletic but it is to Llangwm’s great credit that they refused to submit and there was no scoring after the break, although both teams had half chances which came to nought.
But the large crowd at Heywood Lane enjoyed a real Pembrokeshire derby as Tenby United Athletic deservedly won their seventh game from 12 starts, including a 50-10 victory at Pill Parks - and with three wins Llangwm have shown typical grit from this tiny village team - so well done The Wasps!

Championship Division:
Dunvant take a bonus point win as Crymych battle hard
Dunvant 35 - Crymych 7

Dunvant secured a bonus-point home win over Crymych which keeps them in second spot in the table, but still adrift of the single promotion spot, but this comfortable win doesn’t paint a true picture of the way that the Preseli Men played their part in an entertaining tussle.
They had their chances in the first half but Dunvant showed them how to take theirs as they ran in three tries by skipper and hooker Ceri Davies, scrum half Ben Ley and flanker Rhys Barrow, all three converted by full back Ryan Davies.
Dunvant quickly added their bonus-point try by Tomos Davies, again converted by his namesake Ryan – but then The Preseli Men finally claimed a deserved score from good work by Jac Griffiths and Osian Davies before replacement hooker Sion Wilson drove over, converted by full back Eilir George, after good work from a controlled lineout drive by Will and Jac Delaney, Ben Cox, Thomas and Tom Taylor.
Dunvant could only manage another single try later on by centre Shane Edwards, goaled by Ryan Davies, and although Crymych were unable to add any further points they battled hard until the final whistle and could certainly hold their heads high at the final whistle!

Division Three (West):
Mariners do enough to win in first half
Narberth Athletic 8 - Milford Haven 17

Milford Haven’s win at Narberth Athletic saw them leap-frog over Cardigan and Trimsaran, and into sixth place in the table, as a result of their fifth win of the season – with the Mariners earning a 17-0 interval lead and although unable to add further points afterwards resisted Narberth attempts at snatching a victory, although they managed eight points.
Coaches Zac France-Miller and Johnathan Thomas featured prominently as Thomas and Dan McClelland controlled play well, with France-Miller joining Zac Davies Aaron Mayne, Ieuan Davies and Ben Jenjins leading the forward exchanges, and full back Robbie Jones catching the eye with several strong runs initiated by Efan Morgan and skipper Dan Jenkins.
The Mariners’ opening try came from prop Aaron Mayne, converted by winger James Trueman, who then landed a penalty and then the conversion of a try by France-Miller
No details of team or scorers were forthcoming from Narberth RFC.
