Fawcett and Davies grab crucial second half goals for Bluebirds who win at Airbus
JD Cymru Premier – Phase 1
Airbus UK Broughton 1 - Haverfordwest County 2

Haverfordwest County came from behind to secure a precious victory against rock bottom Airbus UK Broughton at the Hollingsworth Group Stadium, Flintshire.
The visitors led through Finley Savage’s second bite of the cherry finish, but late in the second half the Bluebirds hit back hard as Ben Fawcett equalised and five minutes from full time Jordan Davies struck the crucial winner.
Bluebirds boss Tony Pennock will be pleased with the character his side showed to fight back and take the points on the road; it gave his side back-to-back-wins as they sit eighth in the table.
The visitors made one change to their starting line up that won against Flint a fortnight ago, Jack Wilson was rested and in came Ryan George to take his place on the wing.
Early in the match the Wingmakers’ keeper Lewis Dutton pulled off a superb reaction save to deny Fawcett, his shot headed for the top corner.
Wingmakers take the lead
The hosts opened the scoring in the 27
th minute as Savage’s header from inside the box came off the back of a Bluebirds’ defender and fell kindly for the striker who lashed home the rebound.
Jake Eyre had a good opportunity to put his side two-up but from a one-on-one with Lee Idzi he struck his effort embarrassingly wide.
Just before the break the Bluebirds made a change as Elliot Scotcher was replaced by Corey Shephard.
Shortly after the interval Idzi pulled off a crucial save with his feet to deny the Wingmakers.
Fawcett and Davies score to settle matters
The Bluebirds equalised in the 75
th minute as Fawcett’s snap shot from inside the box beat Dutton and as a result got his team right back in the game.
Ten minutes later the visitors snatched the winner when Jamie Veale’s long ball from the touchline from the right was controlled and laid off by Fawcett to co striker Davies who slotted home from the edge of the 18-yard box.
