Johnston throw it away
Johnston (117 all out) lost to Stackpole (122 all out)
Umpire: Arthur Brady
Scorers: Steve Mills & Claire Cox
Johnston conspired to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory after they dismissed bottom club Stackpole for 122 and raced to 88 for 2 in double-quick time but then lost chief run-makers Steve Mills Jnr and Lee Summons before collapsing to 117 all out, to give the visitors victory by five runs.
Put in to bat first, Stackpole’s major contribution came from opener Hugh Davies, who had five fours in his 36 alongside 12 apiece from Rob Mathias and John Williams, plus a massive extras column of 26, most of them from wides! Banthu Kumarasamy (4 for 36), Paul Hood (3 for 12, Steve Mills Jnr (2 for 24) and Lee Summons (1 for 24) were the Johnston wicket-takers.
Johnston lost Ross Dewstowe for 17 but then Lee Summons (27) and Steve Mills Jnr (38, including five fours and a six) looked to have put them in command.
Stackpole skipper Richard Mackay (4 for 29) and Chris Gibbs (3 for 23) had other ideas, however, supported by a wicket each for Darryl Willington and Chris Gibbs, and Johnston saw their lingering hopes of promotion vanish into thin air!

Kern kills off Burton hopes
Burton (145 all out) lost to Haverfordwest 2nds (208 for 9)
Umpire: Tony Scourfield
Scorers: Ros Phillips (Haverfordwest)

Some big hitting by Kern Cunningham helped Haverfordwest Seconds gain a 63-run win over Burton at Oatfield Park
Cunningham lashed five fours and four big sixes in his top score of 63 for The Town as he found support from Alex Rodriguez (35), Will King (30) and Jonathan Strawbridge (25) as Morgan Scale topped the Burton bowling chart with 4 for 41 alongside the evergreen Steve Jones (2 for 42) and talented teenager Jack Davies (2 for 39).
Morgan Scale completed a good personal performance with top score for Burton of 45 and there were also useful contributions by Phil Sutton (22) and Toby Hayman (21) but the homesters lost wickets at regular intervals to James Morris (4 for 29), Timothy King (1 for 5), Will King (1 for 20), Chris Phillips (1 for 28) and Welindra Wirasami (1 for 30) so that Haverfordwest were worthy winners in the final analysis.

Pembroke are still in the promotion race
Pembroke (106 for 3) beat Whitland 2nds (105 all out)
Umpire: Les Hastings
Scorer: Ann-Marie Jenkins (Whitland)
Carew maintained their slim hopes of getting back into division one as they comfortably accounted for Whitland 2nds at Treleet, shooting out the opposition for 106 runs and then easing home for the loss of only three wickets.
Whitland’s runs came in the main from Geraint Jones (23), Paul Webb (22) and Paul Oeppen (22) as Ceri Brace’s slow stuff earned him figures of 4 for 23 alongside Pembroke skipper Sean Powell (3 for 24), Rob Weston (2-27) and Jack Harries (1 for 27).
Barry Evans anchored the Pembroke reply with 28 runs made from 103 deliveries and described as ‘very watchable’ by skipper Powell, before ‘Evs’ was caught in the slips off Connor Bowen.
Phil Hay led the Pembroke batting with 54 not out (four boundaries) and his little brother Andrew was there at the finish with 9 not out as Whitland’s Geraint Jones bowled well for his figures of 2 for 29.

Carew win well in extra time
Lamphey (138 all out) lost to Carew 2nds (139 for 7)
Umpire: Mervyn John
Scorer: Helen Hodges

An excellent bowling spell by young Carew 2nds pace man Dominic Hicks and good batting by Matthew Phillips helped their side win at Lamphey, and left the home side regretting the fact that they gifted the opposition eight overs, six of which were used to help Carew to a three-wicket win.
Lamphey’s runs came in the main from Gianluca Tremarco (24), Nick Shelmerdine (25) and Haydn Cole (27) as Dominic Hicks spearheaded the Carew attack with excellent figures of 5 for 11, supported by Lewis Hicks (1-13), Matthew Phillips (1-8), Johnny Harries (1 for 31) and Luke Hicks (1 for 32)
Phillips used his experience to good effect as he led the Carew batting with a vital 45 runs and support from Lewis Hicks (28), Joel Reed (16 not out) and Luke Hicks (15) helped him to steer Carew home, despite the bowling efforts of Steve Vale (2 for 28), Hywel Gibbs (2 for 25) and Scott Brunton (2 for 25).
