Delighted Sports pickup first win and impressive Vikings march on in FAW Trophy

Nicky Woodrow scored four goals for Hakin United in their convincing cup win against Penrhiwceiber Constitutional Athletic.



Pennar Robins failed to take their chance and go clear at top of the Manderwood Pembrokeshire Football League Division One.

The Robins lost 0-3 at home against Tenby, the Robins stay on the same points as leaders on goal difference Hakin United, but the Vikings have two games in hand, as they were involved in the FAW Trophy.

Grabbing the goals for the Seasiders were Jordan Richards, Sonny Phillips and Jerome Mansbridge.

Merlins Bridge moved up to third in the table after a convincing 5-0 victory at home against Narberth. Stephen McNabney (2), Chris Ormond, Steve Dockerty and Lee Hudgell scored for the Wizards.

Fourth placed Goodwick United were held to a 3-3 draw at sixth placed Herbrandston. Scott Reid (2) and Shane Walsh scored for Herbie and Rob Morgans, Rhys Dalling and Lewis Banks netted for tDelighted Sports pickup first win and impressive Vikings march on in FAW Trophyhe visitors.

Sean Hannon scored twice for Neyland who beat fifth placed St Clears 2-0 at home.

Saundersfoot Sports picked up their first win of the season at home against Monkton Swifts. The Sports won 3-1 with Sam Coleman, Chris Millward and Jack Parkinson finding the back of the net for the homesters, Daniel Scourfield scored the Swifts’ solitary effort.

Bottom of the table West Dragons led 2-0 against Angle at home, thanks to goals scored by Jordan Thomas and Simon Ellis, but the visitors clawed back the deficit with goals from Chris Richards and Dean Lawrence to steal a point as it finished 2-2.
 
Hakin United marched into the fourth round of the FAW Trophy, impressively thrashing Penrhiwceiber Constitutional Athletic 6-1 at the Obs. Top notch striker Nicky Woodrow led the rout with four goals alongside one apiece for Adam Davies and Justin Harding. The visitors had three players sent off and their only highlight was a consolation goal scored by Steve Marney.

Johnston had a day to forget in the same competition, the Tigers were trounced 10-0 at Abergavenny Town.
