Clive Huxley Cup - Quarter Finals - 9th June 2026
Cresselly win ‘Big Three’ clash
Burton (82 for 6) lost to Cresselly (108 for 7) by 26 runs
When Burton were drawn to entertain Cresselly it was inevitable that one of the top three would not reach the semi-finals – and it was the visitors to Oatfield Park who eased through as they chose to bat first, set a decent, if not daunting, total.
Eleri Williams continued her good form with the bat alongside Lucy Johnson but there were no other big scores as Wells Scale and Rhiannon Morgan were the main Burton bowlers.
The remarkable Elaine Scale topped the Burton reply as Rhiannon again featured but Cresselly bowled steadily via Lucy Johnsson, Ffion Ashman and Caitlin Lewi and fielded well to keep the pressure on.
Burton battled hard but it was Cresselly who join holders Hook, Saundersfoot and Whitland on Semi-Final Sunday, 28

Holders Hook show their batting power
Llangwm (106 for 6) lost to Hook (108 for 0) by 10 wickets

Holders Hook moved effortlessly into the last four of this year’s competition as they made the entertained neighbours Llangwm and came away with victory by ten wickets -although their opponents deserve every credit in the batting stakes as they reached three figures.
Pam Asson was again the Llangwm top scorer and found support from Zoe Brick as Kacey Arran and the Potter sisters Maddie and Mya claimed a wicket each as the homesters ended their innings with four wickets still intact.
But then Kate Farr maintained her consistency to help Kacey Arran reach the target in the 18th over, with Kacey recording an unbeaten half-century and with Katie just four runs short of that milestone

Seasiders ease home in low-scoring tie
Saundersfoot (72 all out) beat Haverfordwest (66 all out) by 6 runs
Runs were hard to come by at Haverfordwest as they dismissed a strong Saundersfoot batting line-up for only 72 runs - but then they were unable to grab victory as The Seasiders bowled and fielded well to snatch the decision in the battle against a team from the first division.
The visitors, who are pushing for promotion, looked as if they were down and out after only Nell Mackay and Jen Thomas ever looked comfortable against Lowis Hughes, Aaeesha Azziz, but no-one else looked settled for long.
But only Lyn Ward managed double figures as Ameya Neye spear-headed the Saundersfoot bowling attack and in a tense finale it was The Seasiders who edged home as The Town :Ladies were left to look back on a real chance of reaching the last four in this season’s competition.
Saundersfoot Batting: Nell Mackay 22, Jen Thomas 17
Haverfordwest Bowling: Lowis Hughes 3-6, Aaeesha Azziz 2-11

Borderers’ batting power pays off
Pembroke (98 for 3) lost to Whitland (142 for 3) by 44 runs
Pembroke asked Whitland to bat first at Treleet but the move back-fired as The Borderettes rattled up a huge score and then restricted the home side to just short of three figures on an excellent batting track.
Kelly Evans led the Whitland batting with a classy knock and she found perfect support from Lani Hogben, who finished undefeated with a deserved half-century as there was a wicket apiece for Pembroke bowlers Bobbie Neale, Jodie Lewis and Summer Russant.
Pembroke’s response was led by Chloe Jones, Jodie Lewis and Jamie Moseley but no-one was able to match Kelly’s or Lani’s batting exploits as Whitland were worthy winners.
Whitland Batting: Kelly Evans 62, Lani Hogben 54*
Pembroke Bowling: Bobby Neale 1-29, Jodie Lewis 1–14, Summer Russant 1-24
