Haverfordwest County slipped to their third defeat in a row, as Gap Connah’s Quay clinched their first win of the campaign.
 
Both teams came into this clash searching for their first points in this clash in the Deeside Stadium.

It was The Nomads who opened the scoring in the 11th minute, Les Davies’ low shot beat County goalkeeper Scott James, earning ‘The Truck’ his first goal for his new club since arriving from Bangor City.
 
Four minutes before half time and the homesters doubled the lead, Ashley Ruane also getting his first goal for his new club.

After the break, the visitors began to see more of the ball and were rewarded in the 55th minute when Jack Christopher headed in first goal, the Bluebirds' first back in the Welsh Premier.
 
But the Bluebirds failed to get an equaliser and then faced the long journey home from north Wales with nothing to show for their hard work and tireless effort.
 
This Tuesday, 8th September Haverfordwest County travel to Penybont to play in the Word Cup at the Kymco Stadium.
 
Next Saturday, 12th September, The Bluebirds are back in Welsh Premier League action as they entertain new boys Llandudno in search of their first points, kick off is at 2.30pm.
