Pembrokeshire Harriers are having another very successful season so far as both the Junior and Senior teams have qualified for their respective Welsh Cup Finals to be held in the near future. Also, Pembs Harriers supplies the West Wales Athletics team with many athletes. This team (which travels all over England ) is on course for promotion in the UK Youth Development League.
 
There have been a record amount of medals won in the West Wales championships The Harriers are looking really goodheld in May.
 
There were a record amount of Dyfed School Champions which resulted in many competing in the Welsh Schools Championships in Cardiff. At these Championships, there were a record of amount of medals won by the
Pembrokeshire athletes.......4 Gold, 7 Silver and 16 Bronze.

Also, as a result of his great run at the Champs, Matthew Williams from Walwyns Castle has been chosen to run for the Welsh Schools team in the Home International being held in Cardiff this weekend...his first Track and Field vest.
 
There are several athletes who are ranked No1 in Wales and in the top 10 in UK in their events.
 
Heather Lewis, our walking Golden Girl, attained her first UK Championship in the 5K Walk held in Birmingham recently.
 
The club sent two relay teams to compete at the Welsh Athletics International held in Cardiff on Tues 15th July. Both the U15 Girls and Boys team won Silver medals and broke Club records in the process.
 
Welsh Schools Champs Cardiff 2014

A large number of Pembrokeshire Harriers athletes proudly represented their schools at the recent Welsh Schools Championships held at Cardiff International Stadium. After a great day of athletics, held in glorious sunshine, the

Pembrokeshire youngsters managed a fantastic set of results culminating in several Welsh Schools Champions, many medals and also many personal best performances.

Because of his excellent  race in the middle boys 1500m, Matthew Williams, from Walwyns Castle, has been chosen for the U17 Welsh Team competing at the Schools’ International to be held in Cardiff.

All the athletes train regularly with the Harriers at the track at STP in Haverfordwest. All the hard effort put in by them and their coaches certainly paid dividends in Cardiff. Well done to all.
