Umpires:

Dave Brandon

Dave Brandon           61                    Retired

Dave will be officiating in his fourth Bowl final and as well as every other Pembrokeshire competition in his 18 years here has officiated at three Welsh Cup Finals, a National Village Final at Lords, and in 20/20 games at the start of the Indian Premier League. He played until he was 40 as a wicket-keeper/opening batsman in the South Lancashire Cricket League and then took up umpiring in the Central Lancashire Premier League before coming to live in Moylegrove, which he still says is the best move he ever made!

Richard Merriman

Richard Merriman    56                    Area Parts Manager

This will be Richard’s third final in eight years since he took the umpire’s course under the guidance of the late Stan Richards and Mr Brandon! His playing career centred on games with the ‘Diehards’ in Friday evening friendlies at Whitland CC but he took to standing in the middle like a duck to water to become a highly respected match official who has also stood in the middle for the DR Morris and Alec Colley Finals – and only missed out on the Ormond Youth Final because Whitland have always done so well!

Scorers:

Jayne Cole (Haverfordwest)                        Theatre Nurse

Jayne Cole can rightly lay claim to having been involved in more Harrison-Allen Bowl Finals than any other player, official and scorer because amazingly this will be her 16th final with her beloved Haverfordwest team. Her dedication is legend because she faces a 100-mile+ round trip for each game and uses a computer programme to provide the most informative details for all of them! She is a wonderful advertisement for participation for others to follow!

Teagan Cartwright (Cresselly)        Student

Teagan started out as scorer with Cresselly after playing cricket for the ladies at Cresselly and offering to score when she discovered that Cresselly first team were without a scorer. After a couple of lessons she was quickly able to do a great job and if she is unavailable for any reason then her sister Kacey steps in to the breach. They hail from a sporting family and both are already proving to be great assets for Cresselly Cricket Club.
