2026 Senior Cup Final - Referee - Tudor Walters

Senior Cup Final Preview

PembrokeshireSport.co.uk has prided itself in providing very full coverage of the Senior Cup Final for almost two decades and this year’s will be no exception as we will start to day with the referee, followed by the other match officials tomorrow, then the pen-pictures and photographs of all the management and players from both camps.

And finally, we will provide a range of comments from local managers of teams who didn’t reach the big day, plus a few others as well in our traditional ’Who Will Win the Cup? feature!

Tudor takes charge of Pembrokeshire Football’s ‘big day’

Tudor WaltersCongratulations are due to Tudor Walters on his selection as the man in charge of the Senior Cup Final as Goodwick United take on Monkton Swifts at the Ogi Bridge Meadow Stadium on Saturday, which is fitting reward for his commitment to reffing, other than for a couple of short spells through injury.

Ironically, in his early days he was a useful rugby player as he lived in London and played for the famous club Rosslyn Park (albeit in the third team!) and then with the lesser-known Quinton’s club before play for Henley on Thames – and finishing on a high note as he enjoyed just one season with Haverfordwest when work brought him to Pembrokeshire.

After playing rugby until 30 years of age, Tudor changed codes and played a season for Carew followed by 20 years for Haverfordwest Cricket Club football team, his last 10 years as a player/manager.

Tudor maintains his playing career was cut short at the age of 52 as he had two hip replacements.

He says he then turned to the ‘dark side’ and has been refereeing in the Pembrokeshire league for the past 15 years. He was second assistant referee in the Senior Cup final in 2024.

He was a former marathon runner but now says he just does exercise classes in the leisure centre, sings in a choir and loves his holidays!

PembrokeshireSport.co.uk is delighted that he has received this recognition because he is a very good communicator with players and managers – and he is intent on enjoying his special day in the middle of a good game played in just the right spirit!
