Delaney leads Fishguard to big debut win
Fishguard & Goodwick (153 for 5) beat Pembroke B (105 for 3) by 48 runs

Fishguard made a comfortable winning start to their first season in Division Two as they built a massive score against Pembroke B and then restricted the opposition’s battling response as they bowled and fielded well.
Leading the way was skipper Nigel Delaney, who has massive experience at a higher level as he was previously a key all-rounder with a Haverfordwest team that made it to Lord’s - and a measure of his ability to dominate can be gauged from the fact that after opening the batting he retired on 25 and 50 - and was still there at the end of their ten overs having faced only 45 balls and without a single boundary, so he actually ran for all of his total score.
Helping him towards that daunting total were cameos from Iwan James, Ashish Jayes, Thileepan Mahaliigan and Ashley Bent - and with 21 extras swelling the total so that Pembroke had to score an almost impossible 15+ runs per over.

Jack Davies claimed an expensive two wickets for Pembroke B as Will Randell and Archie Hillier-Wood also grabbed a wicket apiece - and it was Hillier-Wood who joined Will Davies in getting their team off to a good start, but never enough to raise the tempo to challenge F & G, despite Davies stroking three boundaries and Hillier-Wood belting a straight six.
Shaun Donohoe also managed double figures alongside ‘Mr Extras’ but all the F & G bowlers maintained a reasonable bowling analysis so the result was never really in doubt.
Fishguard & Goodwick Batting: Nigel Delaney 73*. Iwan James 19, Ashish Jayes 13, Thileepan
Mahalingan 11, Ashley Bent 10, Extras 21
Pembroke B Bowling: Archie Hillier-Wood, Will Randell 1-24, Jack Davies 2-58
Pembroke B Batting: Will Davies 34*, Archie Hillier-Wood 25*, Shaun Donohoe 15, Extras 19
Fishguard & Goodwick Bowling: Ashish Jayes 1-19, Ashley Bent 0-15
Herbie ease home as Potter half-century is not quite enough for Neyland B
Herbrandston (115 for 3) beat Neyland B (103 all out)

Herbie were in control for much of their match against Neyland B before a late half century from Danny Potter took the B team closer than seemed likely earlier on as they could only muster five players.
Potter actually led Haverfordwest to indoor glory on several occasions before joining Neyland, where he now lives, and when he found himself batting as last man, the score stood at 51 - but then he showed his range of sports to face only 24 balls before he was removed from the final ball of the match by Herbie’s talented young pace bowler Dillon Lewis.
Even younger, at 14 years old, was Leon Hood, who joined his father Robbie in the Herbie team and claimed a wicket alongside Atticus Kingston and Charlie Malloy - who both opened the Herbie batting and scored a combined tally of 62 runs from only 21 deliveries without losing their wickets.
Their run-rate inevitably slowed after that onslaught , with only Hood senior managing double figures as Neyland tried hard to battle back via Ashley Watkins and Potter as their wicket-takers - but still chasing a tough target nonetheless.

Watkins marked his return with some runs alongside skipper John Tennick but once they were dismissed there were useful spells from Malloy, Kingston and the rest - but Potter made them battle far harder than they might have expected at one stage!
Herbrandston Batting: Charlie Malloy 35*, Atticus Kingston 27*, Robbie Hood 14, Extras 19
Neyland B Bowling: Ashley Watkins 1-13, Danny Potter 1-15
Neyland B Batting: Ashley Watkins 19, John Tennick 17, Danny Potter 54
Herbrandston Bowling: Dillon Lewis 1-23, Charlie Malloy 1-22, Robbie Hood 2-18, Leon Hood 1-28
Narberth miss out as Lawrenny win well
Lawrenny (104 for 5) beat Narberth (80 for 5) by 24 runs

Lawrenny claimed victory over Narberth as their greater experience paid off against a team which was without some key players – all those who stood in gave 100% commitment for their club.
They also discovered a rising star as 14-year-old Oliver Johns joined his father Matthew in the team and claimed two wickets, alongside one for dad and two more for skipper Loui Davies.
Finley and Oscar Lewis and Noah Williams all reached the retirement score and Charlie Arthur managed double figures but then was stumped.
Narberth had solid starts by Davies, Jordan Howell and skipper Kyle Williams but all got out at key times; Davies and Williams joining Matthew Gow getting run out. But talented teenager Oliver batted really well to reach an unbeaten 20 for his team as completed an excellent all round personal performance.
Lawrenny Batting: Finley Lewis 28*, Charlie Arthur 13, Oscar Lewis 25*, Noah Williams 25*
Narberth Bowling: Loui Davies 2-18, Oliver Johns 2-28, Matthew Johns 1-22
Narberth Batting: Loui Davies 14, Jordan Howell, Kyle Williams 19, Oliver Johns 15*
Lawrenny Bowling: Noah Williams 1-23, Finley Lewis 1-17, Will Allen 0-8
