Tish celebrate in style at their annual dinner
Sixty-five members and guests recently attended the annual cricket club dinner held at the St Ishmaels Sports & Social Club.
The St Ishmaels Cricket Club Chairman, Mr Robert Cockburn, welcomed all present, who included guests Mr & Mrs John Llewellin, Mr & Mrs Mel Williams & Pops Joseph. Unfortunately Mr Stanley Richards was unable to attend. They were fortunate to have Mr Robert Cockburn as their guest speaker again this year. He entertained everyone with his interesting & amusing tales of Tish cricket in the good old days.
The catering was expertly carried out by Tish ladies, Sarah, Debbie & Alison and was again thoroughly enjoyed and appreciated by everyone present.
Andrew Palmer, 1st team captain & Robert Cockburn, 2nd team captain, gave their résumé of the season’s performances and thanked everyone for their help and support, especially club groundsmen, Mel Williams and Chris Bradshaw. Mel Williams, U15s coach, welcomed the pleasing number of juniors present, praising their commitment and went on to outline their achievements throughout the season.
