Eddie Merry Memorial Football Competition
The annual 'Eddie Merry Memorial Trophy' is fast approaching, where traditionally Fishguard Sports invite the winners of the Pembrokeshire League championship and cup winners, alongside the Cardiganshire League champs and the Sports to compete in this very popular pre-season competition.
Over the years, this event has raised many thousands of pounds for charity in the form of the local gateway Club and it is hoped that there will be good crowds to watch some entertaining football. The draw has already been made and Tenby will play the host club, whilst Hakin United will take on New Quay to see who will play off for the coveted trophy in the final.
The fixtures are as follows:
Monday 1st August: Fishguard Sports vs Tenby United
Tuesday 2nd August: Hakin United vs New Quay
Friday 5th of August: Final
All games will be played on St Marys Football Field, Fishguard, with kick off at 6.15pm.
