Sporting success
at Broad Haven School
Broad Haven Primary School has again produced a number of Welsh champions in swimming and gymnastics.
In January, a pupil from the school won the Urdd Schools National Swimming finals held in Cardiff in the Year 3 & 4 25m freestyle race in a very impressive time of 16.92 seconds.
In May, five boys represented Wales in gymnastics at Stoke on Trent, under the watchful eye of coach Andrew Grey. They were unfortunate not to bring home a medal, both the floor & vault team and the sports acro pair finishing in 4th place.
And finally, the school is particularly proud of a Year 4 pupil who became National Gymnastics Chair Rhythmics Champion in the ribbon discipline, coached by Jo Sommers.
Headteacher, Mr Simon Thomas said: “I am extremely proud of all these pupils whose success can be contributed to natural ability, support from their parents and the quality of coaching they have received from their clubs.”
