County Under 11s battle in vain
Cardiff and the Vale Under 11s (187 for 6) beat Pembrokeshire Under 11s (80 for 9)
Pembrokeshire under 11s recently travelled to Cardiff to play against a very strong Cardiff and the Vale team which including six current Welsh squad members, and although they battled hard the county youngsters went down to defeat.
Pembrokeshire won the toss and invited Cardiff and the Vale to bat and although Pembrokeshire bowled and fielded well, the home side scored runs at a steady rate and amassed a score of 187 for 6 at the end of their 40 overs.
For Pembrokeshire, James Davies bowled very well taking 3 wickets for 24 runs in six overs, showing good pace and accuracy throughout his spell. The other wicket takers were Iori Hicks and Kyle Williams, with one wicket each, whilst there was a run out by Joe Mansfield, who fielded well throughout the innings.

After tea, the Pembrokeshire reply struggled to match the scoring rate of the Cardiff and the Vale side and ended some way short at 80 for 9, although credit must go to them for not being bowled out by a very good bowling side and being able to bat out the full 40 overs. Geraint Rees top scored with 23, batting very sensibly for over an hour. Adam Hart was the only other batsman to reach double figures scoring 12.
