Dorian PawlettWell done Dorian!

15 year old Dorian Pawlett, a gymnast from the Haverfordwest Gym Club, recently received the winner’s trophy for Welsh gymnastics ‘Most Promising Tumbler of the Year’ award 2010.
Dorian travelled to the Vale of Glamorgan on Saturday 13th November with his parents, family and coaches Paul & Rachel Hughes, to attend the prestigious event after being nominated for the award by Ernie Cookson, the coach of the Welsh team.
Dorian was understandably thrilled to win this tremendous award which has never been won by a Pembrokeshire gymnast before and was presented with the award by Commonwealth athlete Non Evans.
Dorian, a member of the Welsh elite tumbling squad, has had a busy year, regaining his Welsh under 17’s title and also travelling all around the country with the Welsh squad, attending various tumbling league events in Gloucester, Stoke-On-Trent and Wakefield, to name a few.
Dorian is a pupil of STP school in Haverfordwest and he hopes to regain his place in the Welsh squad, get through to the NDP’s in Stoke-on-Trent and possibly international feathers next year.
