Rugby Preview for Saturday, 25th October

**Only six out of 11 again last week so another rap over the knuckles – but I aim to do much better this week because I’ve done plenty of research into the Welsh Cup form book. So here goes! **

Division One (West):

Cwmllynfell v Whitland
Cwmllynfell are currently 11th out of 12 in the table with two wins from six starts but are strong at home so Whitland will need to be on form as they were last weekend.
The Borderers to win this one for sure!

Narberth v Carmarthen Athletic
A tough one to predict after Narberth’s disappointing form last weekend lost them a top three place. The Athletic are just one below them and would love to leap frog their old rivals.
The Otters will bounce back and win with home advantage.

Swalec Welsh Cup Round Two:

Brynithel v Llangwm
Brynithel are bottom but one in Division Four (East) with one win from four matches but the Wasps are traditionally poor travellers in the Welsh Cup.
The Wasps to struggle and Brynithel to make progress.

Cardigan v Pwllheli
Pwllheli are fifth in Division Four (North) with three wins out of five games and make the long trek from North Wales to face a Cardigan outfit boosted by last weekend’s derby win over Crymych.
The Teifisiders should win this one with something to spare.

Crymych v Cefneithin
Cefneithin are top of Division Five (West) having won their first five games and drawing at Milford Haven last week. They have experienced players behind the scrum but are not the strongest forward unit in their section.
Crymych, with John Davies and Richard Llewellyn leading the forwards, will bounce back to winning ways and move to round three without too many alarms.

Cwmgors v Pembroke
Pembroke have already slammed Cwmgors at home in a league match and although they sometimes stutter on the road the Scarlets should look for a win here.
Pembroke to ease through comfortably against the basement side in Division Four (West).

Fishguard & Goodwick v Tondu
Fishguard might find Tondu with too much experience and power for them as the visitors sit proudly atop Division Three (South-West) but will battle all the way.
The Seagulls should be shot down on The Moor.

Gilfach Goch v Haverfordwest
Haverfordwest face a tough task as they travel to meet a Gilfach Goch side which is fifth in a tough Division Two (East), having won four and drawn one of the first six matches.
The Blues should find it hard going although they will battle hard.

Pembroke Dock Harlequins v RTB Ebbw Vale:
The Quins were re-instated after Llanybydder were found to have played an unregistered player and entertain an RTB team from Ebbw Vale which plays its games in Division Five (East) where they are near the foot of the table with one win out of five fixtures played.
The Quins will have too much fire-power for the factory boys from Gwent.

Milford Haven v Cefn Coed
Cefn Coed have lost all five matches so far in Division Four (South-East) but have a big pack that might cause Milford haven a few early problems but the Mariners greater fire-power behind the scrum should help.
Milford to win but it could be tight.

St Davids v Pencoed
St Davids face one of the toughest tests of the round when they entertain Pencoed, who are tenth in Division Two (West) but have lots of experienced players.
The Saints to struggle and bow out.
