Division One (West):

Dunvant v Whitland

Dunvant were slammed by Narberth last week and although Whitland didn’t play because of a waterlogged pitch they should have too much fire-power for a team that has decided to stop paying players. Whitland to win with a little to spare.

Narberth v Felinfoel

Felinfoel didn’t play because of the weather last week but they’ll need to be strong to stop the likes of Steve Martin, Ton Bonnell and Aled Davies claiming more points. Definitely a home win for the Otters!

Division Three (West):

Cardigan v Haverfordwest

Cardigan made a superb start at Llanelli Wanderers and will begin as favourites for this tussle against a Haverfordwest side which drew at home to Laugharne. The Blues will need to be on tip-top form if they are to gain anything from this encounter. It has to be Cardigan to win – with a little in hand.

Crymych v Amman United

Crymych played well for the first half at Aberystwyth and will have learned a lot playing at this higher level. Amman United went down 32-8 at home so they will be desperate for points. With high altitude advantage it has to be the Preseli Men.

Division Four (West):

Hendy v Pembroke

Pembroke battled really hard last week with a bonus point to show for their efforts, whilst Hendy won 17-0 at Trimsaran so the Scarlets face a difficult task in Trim. Pembroke will do really well to pocket a point in Hendy.

Pembroke Dock Harlequins v Tycroes

This will be a real test for the Quins after not playing last week, especially since Tycroes beat Cwmgors by 30 points. But they know they need a flying start if they are to bounce straight back into Division Three (West). It will be close but the Quins should take the verdict – just!

Tenby United v Pontarddulais

Tenby United scraped home in Pembroke after gaining so much possession that they didn’t know what to do with it. The Bont lost 17-13 at home to Llandeilo so they will be up for it but might just find the Seasiders too strong up front. Tenby to win – if they play to their considerable potential.

Division Five (West):

Fishguard & Goodwick v Pontyates

Alan Phillips’ boys lost narrowly at Llangwm but with Huw Evans in the side again should be able to beat Pontyates, who are making their seasonal debut. If the Seagulls pack wins good ball and Huw calls the shots they will be OK. Fishguard to secure their first victory of the season by at least 10 points.

Neyland v Cefneithin

Both sides gained impressive wins the previous week but Neyland are always a tough team to beat at home. Cefneithin have experienced players like Jason Matthews, Chris Moore and Sion Peregrine involved but the All Blacks have Mathew Williams, Adam Collins and Mark Riley to counter them. Neyland to pick up a narrow win.

St Davids v Milford Haven

Local derbies are tough to predict but Milford travel to St Davids on the back of a very good 12-3 win over St Clears whilst the Saints stumbled to a 57-3 defeat at Cefneithin. They are a different kettle of fish at home, though, and Alan McClelland’s lads will need to play well again to beat the Saints. Milford to win but the Saints could grab a surprise bonus point.

St Clears v Llangwm

St Clears lost at Milford Haven whilst Llangwm won at home against Fishguard but the Wasps are not the best travellers so it will be hard against a St Clears team which has recruited a number of players from other clubs. St Clears to win with home advantage.
