The Welsh over 50's played in the semi final of the D & M Cup semi final against Devon on Thursday and two long-serving Pembrokeshire cricketers were actively involved as Wales amassed 231 for 7 and Devon were 162 all out in 33 overs.
 
Pembrokeshire members of the team were Paul Webb (Whitland), who scored four runs and bowled nine overs to return impressive figures of 3 for 31, and Stephen Jones (Burton) who scored 24 not out and bowled 5.3 overs, including two maidens, in taking 2 wickets for 19 runs.
 
Wales now play Hampshire in the final in Trowbridge and we wish both slow bowlers and excellent batsmen every success. Also involved will be Paul’s wife Janice, who does all the scoring for Wales and has already taken sole charge of the Welsh score book!
