Pembrokeshire Sport is launching a new modern designed website

New Pembrokeshire Sport website

A new chapter on the way for Pembrokeshire Sport.

There is an exciting development on the way for readers of Pembrokeshire Sport as we prepare to launch our new website, bringing a fresh look to our coverage of sporting life across the county.

From the touchlines and clubhouses to the cricket squares and sports halls, there is never any shortage of endeavour to report on in Pembrokeshire – and the new site will make it easier for readers to keep up with the teams, players and clubs who give us so much to write about.

A fresh look and easier to follow

The new website has been designed to work comfortably on mobile phones, tablets and computers, with clearer navigation and more room for the photographs that help tell the story.

Whether checking the weekend’s rugby on a Sunday morning, catching up with local football or following the fortunes of our cricketers during the summer months, readers will be able to find their favourite sports through dedicated sections.

The homepage will bring together the latest stories from across the county, whilst fixtures and results will also have their own space, making it easier to see what is coming up and how local sides have fared.

Your sport and your homepage

Another new feature will give readers the opportunity to make Pembrokeshire Sport their own, by signing in with their Google account and choosing the sports they most enjoy following.

Those selections will shape a personalised ‘For You’ section on the homepage, bringing together stories from their favourite sporting categories.

So whether your main interest lies in the fortunes of our local rugby clubs, the weekend’s football or the latest action from the cricket field, it will be easier to catch up with the news that matters most to you – whilst still being able to browse the full range of sport across the county.

Looking back as well as ahead

Of course, the latest action is only part of the story, and our extensive archive remains an important part of Pembrokeshire Sport.

Improved searching and browsing will help readers revisit previous reports, memorable performances and familiar faces – with plenty to interest those who have been involved in local sport over the years.

It will also be easier to share articles with friends, family and club colleagues, whether by WhatsApp, email or social media, helping those achievements reach an even wider audience.

Support for those who support local sport

Our sponsors will continue to play a prominent part in the new website, and we remain grateful to the businesses whose support helps us showcase sport throughout Pembrokeshire.

They are an important part of the local sporting community, alongside the volunteers, coaches, officials and supporters whose efforts deserve every credit.

Whilst the website will have a different look, our focus remains firmly on the people at the heart of Pembrokeshire sport – from those making their senior debuts to the experienced campaigners still doing their bit for their clubs.

There will be more news as we approach the launch, so keep an eye on Pembrokeshire Sport for further updates.

We look forward to welcoming you to the new website soon!
