Former Swansea City ‘legend’ Lee Trundle is expected to make his Welsh League debut for the Bluebirds at home this weekend on Saturday 18th August against Pontypridd Town kick off 2.30pm.
Although he was unavailable to play in last Saturday's opener, he did keep himself busy on Sunday, 12th when playing for Bristol City Veterans. Not only did he play the full 90 minutes, he also found the back of the net four times too, which wasn’t a bad start to his season.
Supporting football in Spittal too
After the game Trundle is to join Bluebirds’ chairman David Hughes as guests of Clarbeston Road AFC, who will be hosting their annual Spittal Football Fun Day on the Village Green in Spittal, for a session of autograph signing and selfie taking, which will be thoroughly enjoyed by kids, mums and dads alike as the afternoon involves men and women's matches, walking football and several children's games too.
Trundle’s Haverfordwest County kit for the season is being sponsored by Mark and Alison Jones of the ‘The Pump on the Green’, in Spittal, and after the conclusion of the junior games the trophies will be presented by the former Swan, followed by a barbecue which has been organised by mine hosts, Mark and Alison, to round off a great event.
