Division One:
Town take the honours in top three clash
Haverfordwest (94 for 3) beat Neyland (93 all out) by 7 wickets
Umpires: Trefor Evans & Dave Brandon
Scorers: Jayne Cole & John Laugharne
Neyland completed an unwanted run of three successive defeats as they lost on The Racecourse by seven wickets to a Haverfordwest team which was in control from the outset after skipper Dan Potter won the toss and invited his Neyland counterpart Sean Hannon to bat first.
Neyland were soon in trouble at 12 for 3 and then 40 for 5 as Adam James (4 for 23) and Jonathan White (2 for 27) inflicted the early damage before ‘spin twins’ Kieran O’Connor (2 for 10) and Simon Holliday (2 for 16) made sure there was no chance of a fight back as Town skipper Dan Potter took an excellent slip catch and there were other catches and excellent ground fielding as only Nick Koomen (16), Scott Jones (16), Sean Hannon (12 not out) and ‘Mr Extras (16) took Neyland to their lowly score.
Haverfordwest had Simon Holliday batting with young keeper Jake Merry as a runner from the outset and he joined Ben Field in putting on 59 for the opening wicket before the latter was dismissed for a classy 39.
The Town also lost Lee Summons and Dai Davies cheaply before skipper Potter reached 9 not out in support of Holliday’s steady 39 not out and although Andrew Miller returned figures of 2 for 21 there was no denying Haverfordwest as it must be back to the drawing board for Neyland in the league competition as they slump to fourth place.

Llangwm win in double-quick time
Johnston (75 all out) lost to Llangwm (80 for 1) by 9 wickets
Umpires: Robert Ridge & Neil Croucher
Scorers: Gracie Morris & Janice Brick
Llangwm were worthy winners of their local derby at Glebelands against Johnston as they bowled out the opposition for only 75 runs and then took just 11 overs to reach their target as Will Beresford smashed a six to end the game in style.
Put in to bat first by Llangwm skipper Ollie Davies, the home side had double figures from veteran opener Steve James (21), his son Liam (13) and nephew Gary (14) as Llangwm captain Ollie Davies claimed 5 for 22 alongside his namesake Noah (2 for 13) and off-spinner Luke Brock 3-13.
Beresford (41 not out) and Noah Davies 32 took Llangwm to within sight of victory before the latter was removed by Nathan James (1 for 10) but by then it was all over bar the shouting and a quick trek to the bar for both sides!

Borderers too strong all-round at Kingsmoor
Kilgetty (147 all out) lost to Whitland (148 for 3) by 7 wickets
Umpires: Arthur Brady & Dave Bonner
Scorers: Hazel Poole & Ann-Marie Jenkins
Whitland enhanced their growing reputation as a strong Division One team as they followed up victory over previously high-flying Neyland with a comfortable seven-wicket success at Kilgetty.
The home side batted first and Liam Cullen was again leading the way with a hard-hitting 49 alongside Ross Hardy (45) and Kyle Marsh (15) as the top trio of Kilgetty batsmen against Iestyn Scourfield (2 for 34), Ben Harvey (3 for 31), Matthew Davies (3 for 46) and Wayne Howells (2 for 19).
Dylan Blain led the Whitland reply with an unbeaten 57 (six fours and two sixes), assisted by Steff James (33) and Jonathan Strawbridge (42, including five fours and two sixes).
Ross Hardy (2 for 46) and Jack Parkinson (1 for 53) were the Kilgetty wicket-takers but in the final analysis Whitland were just too good on the day!
Lawrenny claim another big scalp
Lawrenny (184 all out) beat Cresselly (143 all out) by 41 runs
Umpires: Les Hastings & Simon Richards
Scorers: Malcolm Thomas & Teagan Cartwright
Lawrenny claimed their second big scalp of recent weeks as they followed up victory over Neyland with an even more impressive success against neighbours Cresselly, particularly since they batted first against a team renowned for its ability to chase down even the biggest targets.
Lawrenny reached a healthy 184 all out but failed to use two of their overs as Dan James (3 for 37), Tom Arthur (2 for 34), Mike Shaw (2 for 32) and Iwan Izzard (1 for 23) were the pick of the Cresselly bowlers.
For Lawrenny, Harry Thomas led their batting with 59 (seven boundaries) and he was supported in the main by Simon ‘Chief’ Cole (27) and skipper Joe Kidney (25 not out).
Coincidentally, Lawrenny achieved their win in those two overs as Harry Thomas came on to bowl his only over and claimed that vital tenth wicket against his former team-mates, after some good bowling spells by Rob Williams (2 for 34), Jamie Lewis (3 for 52) and especially Brad McDermott-Jenkins (4 for 24) which helped give them a sixth success in a good first half of their campaign.

Umpires:Richard Merriman & John Williams
Scorers: Wendy Bradshaw & Dennis Venables
St Ishmaels was delighted to celebrate their second success of the season as they chased down Burton’s battling 142 for 8 as skipper Peter Bradshaw steered them home with his undefeated innings of 70 (including nine boundaries).
Put in to bat first, Burton’s final tally of 142 for 8 in their 45 overs owed much to Luke Hayman (37), Morgan Scale (28), Dillen McGaffin (19 not out) plus 10 apiece from Jonathan Venables and Jack Davies against Tish’s Andrew Palmer (4 for 36), Jonathan Pawlett (2 for 14) and Andrew Pawlett (1 for 41).
James Davies (2 for 51) and Dillen McGaffin (1 for 6) were the only Burton bowlers to manage any wickets as Bradshaw was joined by Dan Richards (eight fours in his 40) and Phil Cockburn (23) as Tish were good value for victory!

Carew too strong for The Town seconds
Carew (91 for 2) beat Haverfordwest 2nds (90 all out) by 8 wickets
Umpires: Huw Davies & Tony Waldeis
Scorers: Julie Davies & Kelly Williams
Carew maintained their 100% record to round off the first half of the season way in front of everyone else as they continue to prove too strong for everyone else in the section.
Put in to bat first, Haverfordwest 2nds found it hard going against Carew’s varied attack and could only muster 90 all out as they were dismissed in 25.4 overs before Carew responded with a winning tally of 91 for 2 in only 16.5 overs.
John Tooze (16), Josh Hicks (15), Simon Williams (10 not out) and George Thomas (10) were the only Town players in double figures as Max Brindley (3 for 20), Shaun Whitfield (1 for 11), Ceri Brace (4 for 20) and Carl Thomas (2 for 18) were the successful home bowlers.
Tim Hicks and Nick Scourfield gave Carew a good start with a stand of 62 before Hicks departed with a boundary-laden 45 – and Rhys Davies joined Scourfield (29 not out) in seeing the section leaders home in double-quick time!

Skipper Sam stars as Saundersfoot strike
Cresselly 2nds (177 all out) lost to Saundersfoot (181 for 5) by 5 wickets
Umpires: Richard Scriven & Sutha Siva
Scorers: Des Brace & Adge John
Saundersfoot skipper Sam Franklin maintained his good run of batting form as he lead his team to a five-wicket win in a high-scoring duel against Cresselly Seconds, who batted well to reach a score of 117 all out before tea.
But Franklin made the opposition pay for dropped catches when he had scored 10 and 62 – and with Phil Jones contributing a hard-hitting 39 they won with a little in hand.
Lyn Richards led the Cresselly bating with 72 alongside Stefan Jenkins (30) and Neil Gregory (20) after they had faced an early collapse to 15 for 4 in ten overs as John Mansbridge (3 for 39), Neil Powling (3 for 44) and Franklin (2 for 35) were the Seasiders’ successful bowlers as Cresselly did well to claw their way back.
When Saundersfoot batted the pick of the Cresselly bowlers were Richard Harris (3 for 21), Jenkins (1 for 27) and Gregory (1 for 39) but it was the visitors who prospered and joined their opponents in fourth place in the table.

Outstanding Loui helps Narberth edge home in tense finale
Narberth (128 all out) beat Llechryd (125 all out) by 5 runs
Umpires: Allan Hansen & Gareth Brace
Scorers: Emma Richards & Will Newell
There was a dramatic finish to the game at The Lewis Lloyd Ground as Owen Richards was the hero of the minute with two late wickets that helped Narberth cross the finishing line against Llechryd with a bare five runs still in hand.
Narberth reached a disappointing tally of 128 all out thanks in the main to a terrific 59 not out (seven fours and a six) from talented teenager Loui Davies, assisted by Kyle Quartermaine (13) and Ben Hughes (17) as Graham Keen (3 for 28), John Curran (3 for 27) and Peter Betterley, showing why he is in the Welsh over 70s team with a 4 for 11 haul.
John Curran top-scored for Llechryd with 46 runs but a crucial point came when he was run out, with only Joe Mansfield (15) and Michael Godfrey (12) managed double figures in support.
Davies showed why he is such a massive prospect for Narberth as he followed his cracking innings with a 3 for 28 bowling stint alongside Ben Quartermaine (3 for 28), Matthew Johns (1 for 15), and Richards (2 for 18) kept Narberth very much in the promotion race as Davies was undoubted man of the match.

Pembroke just short of an epic win
Pembroke (189 for 5) drew with Stackpole (191 for 9)
Umpires: Denis Chiffi & Mervyn John
There were runs aplenty at Treleet before home side Pembroke failed by three runs to overtake Stackpole’s challenging score of 191 for 9 and had to settle for the draw after needing only 14 runs in their last three overs.
Josh Davies (69 not out) and Iori Roberts (31) helped Stackpole before tea as Jonathan Rogers (2 for 27), Jack Harries (2 for 18) and Andrew Hay (1 for 18) took the wickets for the homesters.
Then Hay joined his big brother Phil in a partnership of 127 to take Pembroke on the road but Andrew departed for a ‘Sparky’ 54 and Phil was caught behind on 99 when three figures looked a certainty after a classy knock – and with Richard Mackay (3 for 48) leading by example it was Stackpole who held on to earn the draw, and the majority of the bonus points.

Hook win at Whitland
Whitland 2nds (108 all out) lost to Hook (109 for 7) by 3 wickets
Umpires: Steve Blowes & Bob Elliott
Scorers: Rob Benjamin & Phil Griffiths
Hook secured their seventh win in nine starts at the expense of Whitland Seconds and are very much in the promotion race as a result after they restricted the opposition to 108 all out and then reached their target for the loss of seven wickets.
Dai Lee (12), Gregg Sleep (13), James Thomas (15), Geraint Phillips (17) and Ed John (24) produced cameos for Whitland against the bowling of Brennan Martin (1 for 23), Callum James (2 for 17), Aled Phelps (2 for 10), Jonathan Willington (1 for 13) and especially Dai Hopkins (3 for 33).
Hopkins also contributed 21 when Hook batted and found support from Jake Wicks (13), Jacob Lay (24 not out) and ‘Mr Extras’ (24); which proved decisive despite the Whitland bowling efforts of Geraint Phillips (3 for 39), Gethin Scourfield (3 for 19) and Sleep (1 for 17).
