Ospreys rugby success for Libi

An 11-year-old pupil at Spittal VC Primary School has scooped the Youth Wheelchair Rugby Player of the Year Award at the Ospreys Rugby team’s annual awards evening.

Eleven-year-old Libi Phillips has been playing Wheelchair Rugby for the Ospreys for almost two years, having been introduced to the sport at a Disability Sport festival in Haverfordwest sponsored by Snowdrop Independent Living.

She travels to Llandarcy every weekend for training with the Ospreys wheelchair rugby team and is also part of the Wales junior development squad.

“Libi is an exceptional young lady, with a promising future in sport ahead of her,” said Angela Miles, the Disability Sport Officer for Pembrokeshire.
