A primary schools’ dance festival has been hailed as yet another success as almost 190 pupils from nine schools across the county took part in the event organised by Sport Pembrokeshire, Pembrokeshire County Council’s sport development service.
Potential Ashley Banjo’s from Mary Immaculate, Roch, Prendergast, Johnston, Castle School, Narberth, Monkton, St Teilo’s and the Home Education Project took part in the dance sessions under the tutelage of Finola Findlay of FF Dancers.
Range of styles performed
They all took part in a warm-up before each school was able to show off their moves in their 10-minute dance slot.
Dancers performed as soloists, duos and teams with a range of styles on show from street to folk dancing.
Menna was delighted
“This was the third dance festival we have run and quite possibly our biggest and best yet,” said Sport Pembrokeshire’s Menna Kerrison, who helped organise the event.
“The annual event has become a fixture on the schools calendar already and I’m sure next year’s will be bigger and better again.”
