Huge charity sum made by local Powerlifters
The members of the Pembrokeshire Powerlifting Club recently made a massive effort in a 24-hour ‘Liftathon’ at their sparkling new club headquarters which raised an astonishing total of £2,100 which they presented to the ‘Latch’ charity as part of their determination to be involved in their local community.
Although they had very little time to prepare the event the club ended up with such a fantastic final tally thanks to the combined efforts of all the lifters’ and a number of local companies in Pembrokeshire offering their support, which ensured the event would be a huge success.
Aaron Hosking and Co would like to say a massive thank you to Neil Finlay Cars for donating the main raffle prize, Nigel Lewis of Woodenbale for his generous donation and Jane and Ceri from the Highgate for putting on the amazing buffet and letting the club hold the after-celebrations there.
Due to the success of the ‘Liftathon’, Pembrokeshire Powerlifting Club are going to make this an annual event with the hope of making it even bigger year on year.
