Horrendous heavy rain and wind distrupts matches in the top division

Only three games from the seven scheduled were played in the Manderwood Pembrokeshire Football League First Division as rain and wind played havoc.
League leaders Merlins Bridge overcame Angle
4-1 at the Racecourse. Joe Leahy scored a stunning hat-trick alongside a Luke Hayward strike to secure the points for The Wizards; James Potter scored the visitors’ goal.
Johnston were thrashed
0-12 against second placed Hakin United. The Vikings controlled matters and secured three easy points against The Tigers with goals through Jimmy Walker 3, Craig Nicholson 3, Gareth Fawcett 2, James Stanmore 2, Bradley Barrett and Adam John.
Carew narrowly lost
3-4 at home against Lamphey, the home scorers were Alex Bayley, Iwan Izzard and James Hinchliffe, but the visitors nicked the points thanks to a brilliant hat-trick by Mikey Davis and a solitary effort by skipper Danno Kitts.
The games in the top flight that were cancelled due to the poor weather and conditions were Goodwick United v Monkton Swifts; Narberth v Neyland; Tenby v Milford United and West Dragons v Pennar Robins.
