Tony reaches Black Belt, Third DanTony Chambers, a respected instructor with the Preseli Karate Clubs, recently successfully undertook his 3rd Dan Black Belt.

Tony, who demonstrates an in-depth knowledge of Wado-Ryu karate, was tested on advance pair work defences against hand and sword attacks plus several high level katas.

He currently runs a Dojo in Aberporth on a Wednesday evening, and although it is a well attended Club, new members are always considered.

Preseli Karate Clubs practice traditional Wado- Ryu Karate with advance defence training at Clunderwen and Cardigan in addition to the Aberporth Dojo and information is available from Chief Instructor, Mike Blackborow on 07976526077.

Preseli Karate Clubs recently held its winter grading at Aberporth Village Hall and it was extremely successful as fifty students passed at a very high Standard.

Juniors were subjected to a strong test of their abilities while the seniors were subjected to two days of intense training, culminating in their exams. There are too many students to mention individually but special congratulations go to Richard Coombes and Gerry Jenkins, who both attained the rank of 2nd Kyu brown belts.

Chief Instructor Mike Blackborow said that the standard produced by the students was a tribute to their training efforts and the high commitment of the instructors.

Information on all Clubs is available from Chief Instructor Mike Blackborow (5th Dan).
