Young and old at Pembrokeshire PowerliftingThe Pembrokeshire Powerlifting Club has recently moved into its superb new facility at the Pembroke and Pembroke Dock Amateur Boxing Club’s new headquarters and under the inspirational leadership of Aaron Hosking is going from strength to strength.

The club is encouraging new members who would like to take part in competitive powerlifting or simply as part of a training regime to get fitter – because in either case they are guaranteed expert advice from Aaron and his wife Louise, who has already established a sizeable ladies’ section.

“We are also lucky to have the enormous expertise and total encouragement from one of the best-known world champions in Paul Murphy and some of the other senior lifters,” said Aaron.

Aaron (Left) enjoys himself outside the club“We haven't had the benefit of any grants or funding and have poured a lot of our own money into the club to get it up and running,” said Aaron, “but the members truly appreciate it and the gym is never left untidy and all the kit is well maintained and  looked after by each and every member.

“I have lifted in gyms all over the UK but Pembrokeshire Powerlifting Club has one of the greatest atmospheres you will ever come across.

Anyone who would like to join us need only pop in to see us at Water Street – where you will be guaranteed a warm welcome!
