A large crowd at Kilgetty saw a tight game were the bowling was of a high standard . As a result theses free scoring sides struggled for runs with Lawrenny just coming out on to and go through to the  final next week were they play Hook

Hook 287-4 beat Whitland 199-8     

Hook won through to a fourth consecutive county under 11 final with a very good team performance against a spirited Whitland team.

Hook batted first and lost 3 wickets in the first 4 overs to the excellent bowling of Charlie Bujega who finished with 3 for 3. Thereafter Hook only lost one more wicket with some solid batting. Liam Miller top scored for Hook with 12 including two well hit boundaries. He was supported by captain Dillon James with 9 runs. The Whitland team produced some excellent ground fielding to restrict the final total of 287.

In response the Hook bowlers did a great job bowling only 5 wides in 20 overs, an excellent standard for under 11 cricket. They gave the Whitland batsmen very little to hit whilst picking up regular wickets throughout the innings. Dan top scored with 9 including two lovely boundaries. Kai also did well with 5 runs whilst Cian batted very well against the opening bowlers without being able to score heavily.

For Hook Liam Miller picked up an excellent 3 for 0, Ollie Rees 1 for 2, Noah Goodridge 2 for 9, Bailey Goodridge 1 for 4 and Oscar Willington 1 for 1. This consistent effort saw Whitland close on 199.
Hook go through to Final next week were they play Lawrenny

The final should be a closely contested affair with only 7  runs in it in their league encounter.
