Both teams had to be content with a draw following a poor display at the Conygar Bridge Meadow Stadium.
It wasn’t a classic and what’s more both goalkeepers had a relatively quiet afternoon as the fans had to endure a drab draw.

It was the visitors who left the Meadow the happier with their precious away point.

Disappointing result

Bluebirds’ boss Wayne Jones: “I was really disappointed with the result. We lacked that cutting edge and our inexperience on times is costing us.”

The Bluebirds lost midfielder Elliot Scotcher early with a jarred knee, the Bluebirds camp is hoping he’ll be available to finish the season.

Ricky Watts went close to opening the scoring and minutes later he was denied by a decent stop by Talbot keeper James Harris. Minutes later and Tim Hicks saw his shot blocked by Harris.

On the half hour mark and Talbot lost Dylan Thomas who was stretchered off and replaced by Chris Silva. Talbot defender Ryan Morgan cleared a header from a corner off the line.

Poor finishing

After the break, Blake Morgan whipped in a cross which Kyle Stewart punched before Morgan Thomas could get on the end of it.

The visitors continued to press as Keane Watts headed a Blake Morgan cross wide of the target.
Scott Thomas replaced Jack Wilson as the Bluebirds tried to conjure a winner.

Young Fawcett fires a right footed shot wide; Keane Watts dragged a long-range effort wide and right at the death home skipper Sean Pemberton struck a vicious low shot just wide. And that’s how it finished.
